Bold Smart Lock - Keyless Smart Door Lock - Silver (SX-33)

This is so easy to install and makes life so much easier. I wish I’d got this sooner. It took me less than 10 minutes to install and the app works perfect. There’s also a back up mechanical unlock feature which works perfect. I wish it was a bit cheaper as I’d fit one to our garage door too. Hopefully they’ll come down in price. The quality is fantastic and feels well made. One slight issue seems to be when my partner and I return home together, the lock won’t automatically open but does when we arrive home separately.

I was worried about buying one of these, but after a few days im blown away how good it is, walk up to my door with nothing in my hands, and the door activates for 10 seconds, enough time for me to open and im home. You can set timer for longer if needed. Very easy to operate and never use my phone, no need. Press inside button when I leave so I can lock as I leave and just walk to enter. Soooo good !!

I was in between this lock and waferlock. I liked this lock because the hub you can get and unlock the door from anywhere. Great for deliveries. So I got it installed it. It was very easy. It looked great. Then I ran into an issue locking in from the outside. Also the backup code did not work. So I tried to reach the support via email and app as they have no phone number. Never got a response. After many unsuccessful attempts, I gave up, returned it and went with waferlock which I also had an issue with it but support replied super fast and it is all working now. SHAME on you Bold. You have a great product but you kill it with bad support!

The locks and ap working as it should but the geofencing is very hot and miss sometimes taking 30 minutes to work so you need to get your phone out and unlock with the ap other times it works when your 100 meters away and times out before you get chance to unlock the doorShame as that's the main reason I bought it

Got this for my front door in Ireland and the install couldn't have been simpler. Biggest thing to watch out for is to get the measurements correct so you have the right clearance on your door lock (basically it is the thickness of your door that decides what lock to get). Follow the instructions from Bold BEFORE ordering, and you should be fine. If you are going to err, err on the long side instead of the short side when ordering.

The lock looks great, the initial operation is good too.. it looks classy and is a breeze to fit.However the lock isn't 'smart' - there is no wifi link without the connector box, which has a big button on it that seems to do precisely nothing (it doesn't unlock the door despite being connected to it) and even with the wifi connector there is no 'smart' functionality at all (no Alexa integration etc) - you cant lock/unlock it with anything other than the app... there isn't even a widget for your phone so you need to wait for the app to load, no NFC either to tap your phone on the door to unlock it. A lot of the hardware seems to be there, but the software is poor/missing altogether, which is a real shame.They do a 'tab' but that's an added extra too, at this price point it really should be included. Again with no smart home connectivity whatsoever you cant even purchase stuff to connect with it separately.I REALLY wanted to like this, but I've gotta say I'm hugely disappointed in what you're actually getting for your money. it's really pretty poor.I'm sure they will do a 'V2' of this with the missing features in it at some point, and I'd be interested in trying it. but this device is just an expensive inconvenience as it currently stands.
