WARN 85700 XT17 Portable Winch Kit

Just a little too perfect! Being a Motorcycle Riding instructor I am loading and unloading motorcycles into the back of utes and on trailers etc. Being a portable unit the WARN 85700 XT17 Portable winch is ideal, easy to install and easy to use, plus a big bonus it is portable. Although, did have to fork out a little more cash to purchase the which carry bag, pity it doesn't coma as one package

Cant recommend this product. I figured made by Warn in the USA is high quality. Well, no so much. The thing doesn't spool in worth a darn and now using the unit only for the third time, the rocker switch is faulty. If you're stuck, I wouldn't suggest relying on this winch to get you out of a jam. Even more remarkable, is calling Warn customer support, John, the support rep clearly doesn't like his job.

Leave it to Warn to build a small winch that is in no way a "toy". This is the real deal, only miniaturized for use on a motorcycle. I carry it on my BMW F800GS Adventure for peace of mind. I know that if I ever need it, the Warn people built it to come through for me. Major cool factor as well for us guys who love gadgets.

Haven't had to used this to pull anything yet, luckily, but it works as it should. I read someone got one that didn't work, think they just got a bad unit. Warn is the leader in winches, has been for a long time.

The winch did not free spool out of the box. Calling Warn for support was a very painful experience and the customer support is horrible. I cannot recommend buying this winch.

This winch has more power than I will ever need it for. It's very compact but don't let the size fool you. So far I'm very pleased with it.

I use this winch to pull my Harley's up/down a ramp into my motor home garage, slow , safe, and steady,easy pull. I've set this up to hook into a large eye bolt, power hook up to the battery.I did purchase the storage bag to keep it tidy when not in use. I highly recommend this winch, for portable uses.
