Now many of you might be saying.."eh..a pencil is a pencil ..so what's the big deal?"...Well..that is what I am here to tell you. First and foremost is the colors. And I happen to think that these deliver exemplary color for the price that you pay! In other words...Value! But what I like the most...is that Finally...someone has made a colored pencil in a design that is NOT predisposed to rolling off the table (hex shaped)...OR the lap desk that my grandaughter uses when she gets into her artistic mode. And quite frankly..that is why I purchased these...for my budding Picaso! Yes..I am indeed happy with these and if someone asked..they would be recommended!

I fly a lot and therefore that means I wait around a lot. Sometimes I just need a break from my devices, so thought I would try coloring.These pencils are just the right number, not too many and not too few. There is enough color variety to keep from getting bored. Lightweight and easy to tuck in my backpack. Wish the case was vinyl though, rather than cardboard.The tips glide easily on paper and don't break even when I push down hard to get a deeper hue. The colors also blend well so that one can't see individual pencil strokes. Looking forward to some creative de-stressing!

Very nice set of pencils in a myriad of colors! 48 in all! That's under $.20 each! Can't beat the price...but the quality is nuts!These pencils glliiiide on the paper so nicely. I like the fact that they are not round like most others.They are hex and won't roll off your desk or tabletop. Picasso.. Move over.. :)

Box says Premium. Using them says, “for children”.For instance, the colors are not labeled. If you’re a child, picking a color by whim and by sight is just fine. But how to tell from colors that look close to identical?The lead leaves debris behind in the drawn lines. Some colors more debris than others. An adult who prides herself on drawing would never tolerate this.Pre-sharpened, but not well nor consistent. Some are barely sharpened, others are done well.Length is just right.Smooth when drawing, but some pencils need to be pressed more to get the same coverage.

Bought for my daughters summer camp program and they loved all the colors and will work great for the kids. Didn't color with them myself so I am not sure if they would be good for Adult color but there are lots of colors.

I purchased these BlueFire Premium Colored Pencils for my daughter who is becoming a great artist.My daughter draws everyday all day if I'd let her. We or I should say she has quite the assortments of art supplies pencils, chalks, markers all of these range in price from low to I can't believe I paid that much for them.I thought who better to give these color pencils a test but my girl. She tested them almost all of them and the results are very good. They are great selection of color 48 to be exact. She liked the way they seemed to glide as she was drawing that made it very easy for her to blend and to shade with them. They are a thicker more durable lead and she noticed she could put some real pressure on them and they didn't break.We give this product five stars. These pencils are every bit as good as much more expensive ones.These pencils would be a good gift choice for a beginner to a more advanced artist.Disclosure. I love the colors, they are bright and the pencils are comfortable to use. I wish they were labeled with the colors. Some of the colors are so close that you can mistake them if you have to take up a pic late.

I liked the variety of colors, you have to keep the colors you are using out because the pencils do not have the colors printed nor engraved on the pencils. They are also soft & wear down quickly. Not having had experience with any other pencils, I don't know if it's standard for this type pencil.
