My wife and I love this thing better than any drip machine we have. tough and cool tech. pocketable
expensive. WORTH IT. we LOVE it. we have been using this for a few months now at least once a day. Really nice engineered. first i like i have no worry dropping. I always thought these coffee presses where some fu fu thing. then i got one on sale really cheap (another brand). it beat my krups decent maker, the mr coffee meh and the horrible k cup stuff. i was always afraid with the classic famous glass beaker one. I babied it for maybe year or 2. the old glass beaker liked to slide up the metal retainer...finally one day slight distraction it was smashed. welp they made it so hard to figure out what glass replacement fit and it wasn't cheap for the glass either. I was like fragnar this getting something not so easy to break.SO THE EPRO...review and tips.it holds roughly about 12 oz water i think with 4 heaping table spoons of coarse grind maybe (some liquid is trapped with grind in bottom and sealed there until you remove plunger assembly, pour it out and clean it. so good for one insane strong cup. wife wants one now lol. hence personal model that can fit in my pocket, all self contained sleek, with cool grab or carry handle can strap or carabiner to gear, self contained and can drink directly from it, thermos is fair but its too small (thin lightweight - which I like too) to get a full thermos duration effect. not a problem for me cause I sip it pretty quick anyway. I just do it rough and tumble you could do the preheat thing and it will hold temp even longer etc. I just drop in my 3 heaping table spoons of fresh ground coarse petes dark roast or the like, into bottom of press, let the microwave bring a cup of water to boil in a min (or you could do coffee connoisseur thing instead and temp it correct lol). dump the water into press, put the top with plunger on, swirl it if you feel froggy, let sit few minutes. keep the plunger centered, just put one palm on top of other, relax, lean over it, let body weight slowly push it down. then pour it out into my cup. or if you want you could cap it with the sealing top drink it on the go like that, or pour out into a preheated cup rinse out the grind and put the coffee liquid back into the thermos. I like nothing to buy, no paper needed. uses way less grind than a drip and its a stronger coffee. its super clean press brew, so I guess you could get more grit maybe if you only use one screen. they are super fine though. i usually just rinse whole thing immediately with hot water unclick the screens as well. To remove the plunger, if you have trouble pulling up you can break the vacuum seal by tilting the plunger to the side..let a bit of air in. it eases up a bit over the few months but still feels like great seal. coarser grind probably works best. i like the metal finish since no worries of paint or whatever they use chipping. dropped it once not even a dent. only thing as others have mentioned is the max fill line hard to see...since sure they do not want to compromise smooth surface inside and lose seal. maybe a marking outside ...parallax error though maybe l dip stick? lol. also always aim plunger over sink when taking out lol...in case you sent the grinds flying.I got this one since you get a discount on the tea strainer filter.
