Sooo cute! My husband teased me for spending $40 on a butter box, but we use it daily and love it. :) I searched for quite awhile and this was my fave, holds 2 sticks of butter if you want. Looks great sitting out!

Holds a lot of butter!
Holds 2 1/2 sticks. I suppose it's hit or miss with the lid. Mine closes pretty well. keeps butter stays soft yet not melted in the summer (in the SE w/o A/C!).Who ever came up with a butter tray was probably light on the butter, in which case, why would you spend $30-40 for a display?Butter tubs are the way to go. They display your love of butter proudly!

Fabulous butter box
This is a very attractive butter box. it keeps the butter cool and fits two regular sticks easily or a 1 lb European block. My criteria for a butter dish is that it must be deep with a shallow lid rather than a shallow tray with a domed lid, reasonably priced, have a handle and look great. This fits the bill! I took one star off because the lid doesn't fit very well but hey, it's pottery (it's not terrible, just doesn't fit as snugly as I would like.)

Lid does not fix well at all. I want my butter covered
Lid does not fit well. A cover should fit down to keep dust and any thing else out. Sent back will look for something else. Liked the look But not the quality for the money.

Pretty, but not functional
This dish looks nice but there is not a tight fit on the lid... its very loose... meaning your butter is just exposed to the air in the fridge. Also the dish is surprisingly lightweight, doesn't have the weight I imagined a ceramic dish would. Also 1 pound of butter does not fit well in it, I had to cut off quite a bit to get my 1 lb block to fit.

LOVE THIS BUTTER BOX, IT IS A FUN ITEM TO HAVE IN THE KITCHEN. HAS A DEEP WELL SO THERE IS ROOM TO "DIG" IN AND GET WHAT YOU NEED. VERY WELL MADE...

Great product
My wife bought one and I broke the lid. So I ordered another. The are great little butter boxes. They home from England so it may take a while for it to arrive but worth the wait
