BisonDesigns Subtle Clinch Belt

Made in the USA!
The belt is great. It was a bit stiff at first but has broken in nicely. It secures well and doesn't slip. The one thing that could be improved and can be done yourself, is to round the corners on the end. Without rounding the corner will poke you occasionally on your belly when you bend or sit.

Long lasting quality
This was my 2nd purchase of this belt. The first one lasted 6+ years of constant use and is still going with only moderate signs of wear. They come stiff but soften up with use.

Wonderful Appearance But Difficult to Cinch
The appearance of this belt is outstanding as is its overall quality; however, I am finding it very difficult to cinch the belt tight. It is not possible to simply pull on the leading end to tighten the belt; I've found it necessary to go through all kinds of gyrations with the buckle to get the belt to tighten. It seems that once it is tight it does remain so.Over all I'm mixed in my feelings, though I do love its appearance.

The buckle doesn't work very well
I really didn't think there was any way to go wrong with a D ring belt, in fact I ordered this as a "step up" from the cheap $5 nylon d-ring belts I usually get. While the nylon material is better quality then most nylon belts, and the cut end is properly sealed, the design of the buckle seems to be flawed. When I first started using this belt it was really difficult to cinch it tight. I had to hold the buckle with one hand and tug on the loose end pretty hard to make it cinch up. I thought this might be because the nylon was thick/new and it just needed to break in. That was true, now it cinches up easily, but also un-cinches and loosens, on it's own! I think all these problems are due to the flat non-symmetrical buckle rings. Not sure why, but these rings are just not as effective as regular rounded D-rings.I wouldn't buy this again and it will probably be replaced soon!

Great belt, get used to buckle
These belts are very well done, and the buckle is light and doesn't protrude much from your pants. If you're used to the belt ending on your left side then you'll have to start threading your belt clockwise instead of the typical counter-clockwise (due to the way the belt loops through the buckle at the end.I have found some cheaper belts I like just as much or better that have a typical, plastic buckle that you thread through and clamp down. You get two in a pack for less money than one of these! I believe the brand starts with an "H." Do a search and get those.
