While I have not even taken this out of the box I have used their lower base model of this hitch for 5 years and only bought this because the other one was not compatable with my new truck (Flatbed to Box Bed). Hands down the best 5th wheel hitch on the market. When I was introduced to the hitch the first time I wasn't sure what to think. Watched some videos online and purchased it. I will not tow my 5'ver with anything else. My new truck has a highly reviewed standard type hitch that came with the truck. It will be removed now that my new Andersen is here. Dont overthink it. It is the best !

Works very well

I purchased this hitch for my 05 Ford F250 to tow my 5th wheel. I was a little skeptical at 1st when I saw it.. Just got back from my maiden voyage with this hitch, and I love it it's so much better than I thought it would be. Very happy with it but. It is light weight and I can lift it out by myself.

In late 2020, we bought a Ram 2500 Hemi with a Std bed and a 31ft FW. The FW had a Turning Point pin box which I thought was a brilliant concept. However, going down the Fwy onto a ramp onto another Fwy, there was a large "dip" in the ramp. Doing 55 mph in the turn, the wedge, which was properly installed, jumped out of the slot behind the hitch jaws and landed on top of the hitch plate at about 20 degrees. This threw the FW out of alignment and caused it to fishtail wildly. Luckily, there was no one along side of us because we would have taken them out. That's when I ordered the Andersen Hitch. I LOVE IT! Easy to install and hook up. No "chunking". Very smooth and light weight. The old hitch was 200 lbs, so this saved about 150 (enough for a queen Tempur Pedic in the bedroom!) The truck doesn't have to be in perfect alignment with the FW to hook up and easy to remove. We have the rail system so there was a little play up and down which I solved by taking 2 inch wide 1/8 inch thick neoprene pieces 6 inches long with the Andersen tab slots cut out between the hitch and the rails to cushion and prevent rubbing the paint off the rails. The 9 inch offset of this system also adds more clearance from the back window of the truck; nice!

Value, weight, versatility! Single person install and removal in minutes. Guessing under 50lbs total weight.. Best all around hitch adapter for short and long bed trucks, for towing 5th wheel or gooseneck trailers alike. You may need additional adapters to maximize single hitch use for multiple trailers. Best Bang for your Buck and allows you to use of your entire bed within minutes, when hitch is removed (by one person). Same to reinstall, hitch, and tow.

Easy to install and light. Very manageable for a single person to install unassisted. A beautiful alternative to a traditional bulky 5th wheel hitch.

Wanted a revolving kingpin hitch for new Montana 5th wheel and short bed 3500 truck but they were out of stock. Decided to try this hitch. It’s great and much less expensive. I am amazed at how well it works and turning radius is fine. I have bed rails and can take it out in a minute with one hand.

J'ai installé le tout en moins de 30min. Après un essai sur route, je suis très satisfait, aucun bruit lors freinage ou accélération et très stable sur route. Facile d'arrimer la fifthwheel à l'attache dans le camion. Je peux tourner pratiquement à 90 degré avec une boite de camion de 6.5 pouces. La beauté du produit est dans la légèreté de l'attache dans le camion, c'est très facile à mettre et enlever versus une attache conventionnelle. Je recommande fortement cette attache. J'avais une Sidewinder avant et j'aime de beaucoup mieux le andersen pour la facilité d'utilisation.

I bought this to tow the heavier, longer 5th wheel I got to replace an older, smaller, lighter one. When I towed the new trailer with the old standard 5th wheel hitch I already had there was quite a bit of clunking sound from the hitch. The new Andersen hitch eliminated this and made towing much smoother. It is much easier to hook and unhook as well. The much lighter ball mount is far better to deal with than the old heavy assembly, it was a struggle to lift the old one into the truck bed but no problem at all with the new Andersen unit. I really like this hitch and find it well worth the price.

Was skeptical, but towed trailer with boat behind and all worked well, the hitch base did turn a little but may not of had it all the way tightened. Did tighten it to recommeded specs but maybe should of re tightened before leaving the campsite/lake, as when we arrived at the destination all was still straight, . other than that easy to install, very light weight easy to lift out. Turning radius is greater than standard 5th wheel hitch

We are towing an 18k lb toy hauler and it is very able and reliable. The mount is light weight and it takes approx 5-10mins to install and secure.

Nice and light easy to install and no chucking as with a normal 5th wheel hitch
