Tiny, Superior Brush!
This Excellent Brush is the Best one I've ever used! The end of each, very thin, wire bristle has the tiniest amount of material that creates a smooth, rounded end. Gliding effortlessly thru the coat, picking up all the dead, shed hairs and dander. In case you were wondering, the Actual Size of the bristle Area of this brush is 1.25 inches by 1.75 inches.(The entire brush head is only slightly larger)Perfect for use on sensitive areas or small kittens!Do Not try to use this on Thick Matted Hair. It is not designed for this.I was initially concerned that the wire bristle ends were tipped. I was looking for a nice slicker with thin wire bristles and nothing on the tips, exactly like the old brush I lost, because that type worked Best! But I never could find one, they all were thicker guage wire with big, clumsy tips. Those tipped brushes never cleaned off as easy and never did the job as well as my old "tipless" brush did.Well I've found an Excellent replacement with this "Li'l Pals" Brush, working just like I remember my old one did. So, Rest assured if you are looking for a thin wire brush without the covered tips- this brush will be perfect! It's Easy to clean too.I'm going to order more of this brand brush, but in larger sizes.

Perfect small brush for socializing cats, kittens or sensitive areas around the face/head
This is the best brush ever!!! Please bring it back as I wanted to order several more. It's very small, which is difficult to find. There's a lot of great brushes on Amazon but most are larger/full-sized. I actually don't use it for my kitten, I use it for my (fairly large) foster cats who are still fearful and not well socialized. It's small size is perfect for introducing them to brushing and human hands. It's so soft, even the most picky/fearful/shy cats will enjoy it! NOTE: the Amazon page pic is incorrect, the bristles are actually coated with the little white caps (as other reviews have noted in their pics) so it's very very soft. It's also a great size for brushing the small areas around the face or top of the head (which cats love)

VERY small brush, good for brushing cats
The XS brush is almost comically small. It looks like it would probably work to brush a guinea pig or hamster. The handle fit entirely within my fairly small hands, as such it'd probably be pretty good for a child to hold to brush a pet. It also worked very well to brush my cat around his head and legs and around his squirming. A larger cat brush that I have just kind of glances off of him a few times until he walks away. This one, after a few strokes, he lay down and purred for me while headbutting my free hand in love. So it was just what I needed. It did have coated tips, as the item description said it did, that may also have been part of the reason my cat liked it better than our other, uncoated wire brush.

Almost comically tiny but the cat loves it
My cat really likes being brushed with a slicker brush. Unfortunately I lost his previous favorite, which I think I had just picked up at the retailer with a bullseye logo. I purchased two potential replacements, and this is his favorite. It is very small - the head is only about 2.25" by 1.5" and the entire brush is only 4.75" long. I am deducting one star from what is in nearly every respect a five-star brush because frankly the handle, while proportionately-sized visually, is a tad small for comfortable handling for me (an average size male, glove size 8.5 or 9). Nicely tipped bristles and the narrow size does allow easy brushing of areas not convenient with a larger brush (for example between his ears).

Cat loves this tiny brush
Mature cat LOVES this brush! Yes, the brush is very tiny but it works well for the head top and sides, neck and chest and also ends up being used on his whole body but it is not the best tool for that. This is a high quality brush with coated tips (at first looks like it might just be plain wires, but there are tiny balls on the ends of the wires) that has held up to use a few times a week over 2 years period. For larger area grooming, the cat loves another LilPals product, Safari Cat Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YIWUXI) that has also held up well for 2 years - that does not have coated wire tips but the wires are fine and seem to be gentle and the self cleaning feature is nice.

Tiny Brush that Delivers!
I have a huge collection of grooming tools, most of which my cat hates, but I keep trying new ones in the hope that I'll find some he'll put up with. This brush is very small, but I figured it might work for the head and neck area since my cat loves skritches there anyway. He's a little suspicious, but he does seem to enjoy being brushed there. Surprisingly, tho, he's also ok with my brushing him on the body and tail. I use a soft touch and just do a little at a time, but I've already gotten so much excess hair off of him. His hair doesn't generally mat, but it's pretty thick and I feel that's it's just healthier for his coat and skin if he gets regular brushing.I also like that each of the pins (tines?) is coated, just like a human brush, to make it more gentle. I have some of the brushes with uncoated pins and my cat really doesn't like the feel of them no matter how careful I am.This brush is marketed for kittens, but I think it would be great for any small furry pets. . . or even larger ones for grooming around the delicate face area. The price (under two bucks at this writing) is just an added incentive. I'm really pleased with this purchase.

Works, is gentle on your pet, but WAY smaller than it appears in the photo.
Title says it all. It looked way bigger in the photo. Perhaps I should have done my own due diligence but I don't even know if it would be suitable for a kitten (unless it was only a few weeks old) given how small it is. For Cats above 1 year old, I'd recommend something else.

kitten and adult cat love it!
Great brush, our kitten who is part Maincoon loves it and has used it since she was two months old (she is now five months) Our two adult cats love it too, it actually gets all the loose fur! just be aware that it is very small.

Too severe for my intended use
I had bought this kitten brush because I'd bought a big sheepskin rug for my husband's chair because he feels the cold. But the part that his bottom was on was getting a bit tangled up so I did some research and this little brush was what was recommended. The brush has small wire teeth but on the first use on the sheepskin, it was pulling out far too much of the pile. It might be great on kittens, but it's absolutely no use on sheepskin rugs!

Great brush, but I wish it was self-cleaning
I love this brush! It's nice and small, which I prefer, as it makes it easier to brush around my cat's face, neck, and legs. The pins are tipped, making it a gentle, pain-free experience for my cat (I even tested the brush on my arm, and it feels good!).My one complaint: this slicker brush has no self-cleaning mechanism. You have to pick the hair out with your fingers, which can be quite annoying.

Would make a good donation brush for local rescue shelters!
I can't believe how gentle this brush actually feels. Our foster girl is barely a year old and after being outside stray for months has real issues with what can touch her body.Of course we took it gradually to get her used to the bristles but she will rub up against it herself , especially working her cheeks and chin into the bristles. It is definitely a small brush and I'm sure would be suitable for young cats and possibly even kittens. The finish on the handle makes it easy to grip and it wont slide out of your hand. Its price was reasonable.100% recommend this brush.
