These are great! LED lasts forever! And... the price has come way down in 10 years!
I saw a clip of the This Old House or maybe it was Ask This Old House recently, that first aired around 2009. In those days, we were replacing incandescent light bulbs with fluorescent bulbs that mimicked the size and shape and proposed to use much less electricity and last longer. On the show, they revealed some LED replacements, very much like these lights, but they cost about $130 EACH in those days!My house had many recessed can lights, all with those spot-light incandescent bulbs, using lots of electricity! I bought several of these, $59 for pack of 12 is about $2.50 each! MUCH better than $130 10 years ago! UPDATE: I see these are now going for $79.99! woops... $5.00 each! STILL a good bargain! And, these are dimmable (good because I bought the BRIGHT ones at 4000K). You simply remove the existing frame surface ring, remove the old bulb, screw in the little adapter (looks just like standard light bulb base, they call this an E-26 adapter) then connect the new LED wire connector thing called a TP-24?) (clips in easy, no wiring required) and... slide those clever spring clip things up inside the can and slip the whole assembly back in the ceiling! After you do one, you'll find it quick and easy to replace all. I have four in each of my four bedrooms, 3 baths have two or more (6 in MBR Bath) and kitchen has 10 more! Most are these 6 inch, but kitchen had 4 inch. Amazon sells them both.I must admit I first discovered these at Costco, and paid about $39 each for big ones that go outside under my roof eaves, but... Amazon has much better offers for all sizes of these LED lights.And... they will last about 50,000 hours! You'll never have to replace the bulbs again (I used to replace the old bulbs about once a year outside) for the rest of your life!And.... your electric bill should go way down! Mine did.

Clean flush look
Love the flush clean look. Should have replaced years ago. Got rid of the older canister lights with the faint tan tint. These are easy to install and replaced 16 in about 30 minutes

Very good, but not perfect.
I bought 30 of these to replace a large number of recessed lights in our home. I deliberately bought a few extras because other reviewers warned that some of their lights did not work. The first thing I did after after I received my first installment of 12 was to screw in one of the rat tail sockets into a desk lamp and check out each light (no sense in climbing a ladder to do that). They all worked, but on one lamp a wire came lose when I unplugged the light. No problem, it just wasn't inserted into the push clamp correctly at the factory. Let me make a few points about the actual installation:1) The outer diameter of the new fixture is exactly the same as the ones I was replacing, so each light had to be perfectly placed. If the manufacturer made this product slightly larger it would have been easier to cover the unpainted area, so -1 star in my rating.2) I have 6" cans, so adjusting the springs from the 5" factory setting is time consuming and difficult. Some of the screws on the adjustment clamps are really torqued in, so it is hard to loosen them without stripping the heads. They are also very short and hard to work with if they fall out because you loosen them too much.3) Many people have complained that the lights don't go in flush. I didn't have that problem, but to get a flush fit you MUST get the fixture springs into the can brackets. Even then, sometimes other obstructions in the cans obstruct the springs. I found that I didn't always have to shift the springs from 5" to 6", but if I encountered an obstruction the 6" setting always got around it.I was happy with the installation and performance of my first batch so I ordered a second batch of 18. As I tested the lights I found one had a very visible cracked lower housing and a second had a barely noticeable flaw. someone pointed out that you have to return the entire batch if you have a problem with one light, so I decided to accept the shipment because I over bought. (And if it's a factory quality and inspection problem, who knows if the replacement would be any better?)I bought these because I noticed that some of the original lights were pretty drafty, and their locations made it very difficult to insulate. The end result is that all of the drafts are gone, dust and cob webs are no longer getting into the house from above, and we are saving enough on electricity to cover the replacement cost.Follow-up:A couple months after installing some of these lights in my front porch ceiling I noticed that two were blinking at intervals of several minutes. They would go out for 30-45 seconds, come back on for several minutes, then go out again. I did a lot of troubleshooting, and when I put the original incandescent bulbs back in they still blinked, so the LED bulbs were not the problem. I read more about recessed lighting and discovered that the original units have a thermal protection switch (TPS), usually located in an external box. I cut off the can collar (bezel), which allowed me to push the can into the attic, found the box, and bypassed the TPS to see if the blinking stopped. It did, so the ORIGINAL TPS WAS THE PROBLEM! Sunco makes a safe replacement unit that is IC rated and includes thermal protection, so I purchased thesehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FCXMY84/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1and put them in. They work well, but the bezel is smaller that the original so there is a ring on the ceiling that needs to be painted. I wish Sunco provided a bezel add-on that allowed their products to cover slightly larger holes.

Bright, dimmable, good price and function.
My wife wanted trim pieces for our basement lights and these lights were cheaper from Amazon the the trim alone from Home Depot. They fit snuggly the last picture is the can with a measuring tape before hand. Do note there is a switch and you can set their color temp before you fully install them I realized on my 14th light. My wife liked the three thousand light range so I had to go back to all of them to adjust that. Also they get really bright and they can be dimmed. Some LEDs flicker on a three way switch. These do not. In fact if I turn the dimmer all the way to the bottom the light goes off. So the full range is available and they operate right. It also came with a two year warranty which is great as long I don't need it and or they honor it well but no problems to bring that into play.I haven't had them long but I am really impressed with them so far.

Good… but the box comes with duds too.
Just got these today, three didn’t work out of the box. Disappointing for how expensive a set of 16 are.

Great product and easy to install
I rarely leave reviews for products. But this time I had to express how great I think these lights are. We bought the 5000K daylight version, and let me tell you these things are BRIGHT (which is what we needed). I will probably put one set on a dimmer as we have a room with several in it. But overall we could not be happier.Installation is painfully simple. If you can screw in a lightbulb, you can install these lights. The first one I did took about 5 minutes as I was figuring out how the spring clips worked in my fixtures. Once that was done, I replaced 9 more in 30 minutes, including having to move my ladder around. I saw one review say "15 minutes per light". Maybe if you have a beer after every one.... If it takes you more than 5 minutes per light I would be shocked.Rare that a product is everything advertised. But so far, we are thrilled with everything about these.

Very happy with these lights
Some of the existing retro-fit lights that the previous owner installed in my house stopped working. I could no longer find the same units so I thought I'd give these a try because they seemed like very good value. Install took no time at all since I was just replacing like for like. I think these actually have a nicer ceiling fit than my old lights. I also like the 5-level temperature control. They come packed in a box without much protection but none of mine were damaged. I also tested them all and I had no duds. I didn't need them all so I have some spares but hopefully they last. I would purchase again.
