Sea Dog 325925-1 Knife and Pliers Holder

The quality of the holder is very solid. The only drawback I had and it my own situation is the knife slot. I have a standard 8" Victorinox/Forschner breaking knife which are pretty much the gold standard style knife here in southern California. Well the knife slot cannot accommodate this knife because the end kind of arcs/curves up. (I would imagine it would be the same situation with a Dexter Russel)(Knife model #47537)Simple solution was just put it in a vise and sawzall out the little divider thing for the knives. I was worried it might compromise the structurability of the product but it still feels extremely solid without that piece! Put it on the back of my bait tank low enough so the knife handle doesn't stick up. I also attached a little stainless "pad eye" in the two side holes meant for lures. I can now attach my Boomerang braid cutter which has a clip and is on a retractable lead.

Adhesion to boat surface was a problem, finding a decent place to adhere it to was a problem. Husband didn't like finding the slots on it to store knife, I guess it took more time than he could give to it while catching fish.

This was the replacement for one I’ve had since 2006 that finally deteriorated from sun and salt. This was an exact fit and was what I wanted. Perfect for holding my knife and plier.

1000x better than the Taco version. If you are looking at these, buy this one, less expensive and made in 1 piece. If you are using pliers, check the bottom hole to make sure they fit properly. You may need to drill it out (same for the Taco version)
