These work great.
I have bunions on the bottom of my feet under the big toes. I just needed something to take the weight off that area. My foot PA gave me these and I ordered more. I can walk again without pain, and they are a lot cheaper than having insurers made for me.

Great quality and a fair price.
The pads have really made a difference in my foot pain in both feet. I was pleased the quality and price.

Good pad.
I only wish they would be available to purchase as side specific pads vs as a pair....but that's my only (slight) personal lament as I only need the right one.Good cushion with very dependable adhesive. Pads hold up to lots of use and abuse.

I love love love this product
I love love love this product! It has taken me from debilitated, to living a normal life-style! I highly recommend this product to people with Merton's Neuroma. I was a floor nurse in a busy hospital when I started having foot pain. After 5 years of suffering, I had to change jobs because the pain was so bad. Surgery didn't work because the nerve grew back, expensive shoes didn't make a difference in the long run, but these pads worked great for me. I don't want to discount the fact that good shoes are very important. But for me, that wasn't enough. My orthopedic doc is who suggested that I try the metatarsal bars. Here's how they work. Positioning the insert under the metatarsal bones, the pad or sole of the foot, lifts and separates the bones so that the nerves don't get pinched. So, once I received them, I needed to figure out where to place the metatarsal bar in my shoes for the best fit and ended up experimenting quite a bit. I had to continue to re-position the bar several times before I got it exactly right, so don't give up, it takes some time and patience, but once you get this figured out, you can live a normal life again. I had read about using dark lipstick to mark the bottom of your foot where the pain is, then step into your favorite shoes so that it's marked on the inside of the shoe, then place the curved portion of the pad at that point in the shoe. This works okay if you wear open shoes, but harder for tennis shoes, clogs, boots etc. So, I bought several pair of cheap whole shoe inserts, the ones you cut down to your shoe size. When you get your metatarsal bar, you'll see that there are 2 sides to peel off when placing the bar. I removed one side of the sticky back of the metatarsal bar, secured it where I felt it would work best on the cheap insert, positioned it in my shoe, stood and walked. You'll know right away if it's in the right place or not. If it doesn't work in that position, re-position the shoe liner and try again. Once you have it in the right position, you can remove the other side of the sticky pad and secure it to the sole of your shoe or insert. I try to be thrifty, so I ended up using a lot of the cheap inserts with the bar and walking on them for a long time before inserting them permanently. If I have a pair of shoes I only wear a few times a month, I leave the bar on the insert and just move the liners from one shoe to the other. It takes time to figure out what position works best, but once you figure it out, the metatarsal bar could be a life saver. I usually order 10-12 pads a few times a year. I replace them as they wear down. It's definitely worth the cost of $6 per one pair of pads to live an active life again. One other thing is that on some shoes, pumps, I needed to make sure there was enough room at the sole of the shoe for an insert. Some pumps can't support an insert and your foot, so check that out when your shoe shopping. Good luck and happy trails!

Absolute rip off
Total and absolute waste of time and money. These metatarsal pads are for individual shoes, in other words if you have 5 pairs of shoes you will have to buy 5 pairs of these pads, one set for each pair of shoe. I am returning this item, and they charge $6.00.but it will be worth it. Any one can go to any drug store and buy pads that, have a loop where you insert the second toe. They are removable and one can wear it with any shoe, and they are cheaper.

Doctor Recommended but Didn't Work for Me
I've developed bursitis in my metatarsal area and the doc recommended these for "off loading"--to relieve pressure on the metatarsal area. They might have worked for that if they didn't hurt the rest of my foot. Like walking on a large smooth stone in your shoe. Very uncomfortable. My doc laughed when I told him it didn't work and said he wasn't surprised and didn't really think they would! (And no, I don't go to him anymore!)
