Q: Are the tabs like "velcro" or tape?

It is more a tape than Velcro but VERY easy to manage and to undo and re-tape when needed. A great plus is that is not as bulky and won't scratch like Velcro. I have been using this same brand for.over five years.and am very pleased with the way the tabs are engineered You also will be able to bundle the diaper up tightly, using the tape on the diaper so as to keep any mess or urine contained in the diaper when you throw it away. Q: Are they scented or can you buy scented?

The Prevail PF-013 are not a scented product. They do have an odor guard that helps control odor problems.

Q: Are the tabs already fastened when you take them out of the package?

The tabs are folded and closed against themselves. When ready for use the pants are flat, not "pants-like".You wrap them around and then secure them for proper fit.

Q: If someone also uses a urnal in bed, can the unfasten and refasten these?

It would be a bit difficult (maybe awkward is a better word), but these fasteners will usually unfasten and fasten back. I have found as a caregiver you sometimes have to experiment with what works best. Sometimes texas cath is best for males.
