EKG ECG Nurse or Doctor Caliper for Measuring Electrocardiographs (pink)

I am a student and am learning to read ECGs. Our ECG textbook recommends using note cards and marking them with lengths rather than using calipers. I went against the textbook on this. Index cards sound like a pain to use over and over and would contribute to me needing to remember to keep a supply and discarding a bunch of cards every time I practice. The calipers seemed to me to be more practical.I looked at a few sets of calipers on Amazon. I noticed what appears to be an identical caliper came in a blue without Nurse Vicki written on it. I chose this one because I like the pink color. I also like the case having measurements on it. No bad reviews stuck out to me.I've been using these without any issue. They open up with enough resistance to not be floppy, but aren't difficult to open. They seem to be well constructed. They have a little clip on the case if you want to attach them to a uniform pocket, which I haven't. This is my first set of calipers and I am pleased with them thus far.

Do not trust these calipers. The points are blunted. They're found off instead of sharply pointed for precision. You can not get an accurate measurement with these. In addition, the head of the adjustment screws holding the points in place are stripped. Over all a worthless tool for precision measuring. Lives are on the line, I will never use these calipers to measure an ecg strip on a patient.

These calipers are just okay. The arms are really loose making it really hard to march out a rhythm and make the necessary measurements of the PR and QRS and have accurate measurements for interpreting rhythm strips. Second, the points are very uneven. When trying to set them right, they lean quite a bit, which also makes me question the accuracy of these. Lastly, I ordered pink and it's a very dull, light pink not like the pictures. I plan to buy a better pair, but these will hopefully get me through my exam!

I loveee the pink color and how the case has several locations where I can write my name so nobody steals them. They are an extremely nice quality item and they fit snuggly within the case so they’re not going to fall out anywhere! They come already tight so I didn’t have to adjust them so that I could measure correctly. I absolutely can’t wait to be able to use them in the clinical setting. I love cardiac and so these will come in handy!

I bought this to give to my New Grad RN after she finished her orientation period with me. They arrived as described, but with an area of rust on one of the arms, maybe a return by someone???? Anyway, I scraped off as much as I could; did not return as it was not worth the $$ to get a replacement. Otherwise, cute pink calipers, too bad they don't come in purple!

I love the caliper and it will do the job well. The only thing I don't like is pulling it out of the case (aka the ruler) is a little scary each time as I fear I will break the plastic case/ruler. It does not feel very strong and I also worry about breaking it when I put the caliper back it. Otherwise this is perfect and will work for me just great! Thank you!

LOVE! First, it's cute, but it's also very functional. Easy to grip and use but I love the handy measurements on the side. It comes in very handy when I have a strip that's on the old hard to ready paper, instead of going cross eyed trying to count the squares I use the outer case and it saves a ton of time!

One of the screws on the prongs were stripped and the prong would not stay in. Not even able to use.
