Great product, I love that it isn’t too hot and can be used in warmer months as well.
I had heard about these types of weighted blankets, and also got a recommendation from a friend about them as well. So decided to get one, and it has been wonderful. I sleeps so well and so soundly. I would say it took about 3 nights before I was able to get used to that extra weight, but after that I have been sleeping better. Even my wife says I’m not snoring at all most nights. The blanket is nice and sewn well and no gaps or missed stitches. Nice weight to it, and has recommended weights proportional to sleepers weight. I also got a duvet cover, to keep the blanket itself clean. It doesn’t add too much heat at all, great for those warmer months. I live in San Diego, and it’s mostly on the warm side. All in all a great choice for a weighted blanket. And it’s amazon, if you don’t like it, simply return it. I do most of my returns to a local Kohl’s and it’s as easy as just waiting in line and dropping it off. Done at the longest 1 hour, you will get refunded.

BALOO: the best weighted blanket for you!
After having read Matthew Walker’s “ Why we sleep” I started making some changes in my sleep routines to really get the most out of my 8hrs.Complete darkness, no blue lights 2hrs prior, meditation, etc. Then someone told me about weighted blankets and I was like “WHAT IS THIS?”.After some online research, I found BALOO.I’m not gonna lie, initially it was the name that caught my attention. But then what convinced me about purchasing the product was the company’s eco friendly / chemical free ethos, which I feel totally in line with.I’m 175lbs so I figured the 20lbs blanket would be the best option for me.Long story short, the first night was such a weird experience.I’m usually a “dynamic” sleeper, meaning that I move a lot during my sleep, a lot of tossing and turning, and In the morning my bed looks like a battlefield: pillows everywhere and the blankets are wrapped in a gigantic ball. But with Baloo blanket I had a composed deep and restful sleep, it sort of kept me still and “calm”. The weight relaxed me.I also exercise quite intensely, lifting weights, swimming, hill sprints and I’m on my feet most of the days running around the city ( NYC ).I feel the compression of the blanket helps my blood circulation hence my recovery. After a particularly heavy leg session, and a good 8hrs sleep, I woke up rested and fresh, ready to go again. So, to conclude, I recommend this product: you can wash it, the weight doesn’t shift, it’s organic, and the material breathes.

Finally!! The perfect weighted blanket!!
Prior to finding Baloo brand, I purchased several other weighted blankets and was quickly displeased with the fabric and the way beads bunched up in pockets. I actually hate polyester bedding and also considering the hot summers where I live I knew they would be a nightmare. I searched all over for 100% cotton weighted blankets, found one that said it was cotton but had a polyester fill.. NO WAY!! Well luckily I found the Baloo brand and realized the cost is higher due to the quality of materials and better design and assembly. Before Black Friday came I first purchased the Silver Sage in 15lbs. I truly loved it! But aesthetically it would look wonky with my bedroom colors. I originally wanted a blue one but since they didn't have it I settled. Later I got the blue linen duvet cover which was alright and used all the ties. The duvet still slipped at night.. I then wondered if I needed a heavier weight so I returned the silver sage, kept the duvet and got a 20lb in pebble white. That weight was a dream come true and put me to sleep almost faster but I also learned to put my comforter on top of the Baloo blanket instead. After many nights the duvet on the weighted blanket still slipped around and shifted which was annoying. I also noticed that I was waking up with sore shoulders and neck if I slept with the blanket up to my neck as sleeping sideways. I read other reviews and realized that I should stick with the 15lb blanket and in doing so that's when I saw there was a new one in a Navy Blue!! This was what I wanted originally so I was excited and didn't need a duvet that would shift around. I still tried the 20lb out a few more days and liked it but still was a bit too heavy to pull on the bed and plus since I have a black kitty I didn't want all his hairs to show up. I cleaned off the pebble white blanket amd will be returning it. The Luna blue color is absolutely beautiful and it's the perfect weighted blanket that makes all my dreams come true 💙 also I am keeping the box :-) as you can see my Panther loves it and its the perfect size for him too! It's literally taken me YEARS to create my natural bed. It is not cheap and is a lot healthier and suggest others do the same as our health is contingent on our sleep. Worth every penny and definitely worth the weight! . I highly recommend this brand due to the sustainable and all natural materials and quality . I will probably purchase from their website a throw or something if I can get on discount. Someone else did mention they had shoulder pain with the 20lb blanket so keep that in mind depending how you sleep.

Return it if it leaks beads
Edit: I was able to return this for a full refund, and purchased another without the previous sale price since I had liked it better than other weighted blankets I have tried. Since this new blanket is not leaking, and a decent value for the price, I'm increasing my rating from two to four stars.I also purchased Baloo's linen duvet cover, which almost doubles the price of the blanket, but is a good quality cover. This blanket has a nice feel and only insulates a little, so the primary benefits to adding a cover are slightly more warmth and simplified cleaning. Duvet is not necessary.Original review:While this blanket is quite comfortable and a good size, it is slowly spilling glass beads everywhere. Each morning there are a few hundred beads on the bed. Hard to tell where they are leaking from or how to fix it, but this tarnishes an otherwise excellent product.

Beautiful soft blanket well made, chemical free with cotton that will be cool all year long....
I had contacted customer service when looking for a weighted blanket although could not find chemical free cotton that is cool and breathable all year round, available for purchase in canada. They shared they were going make they would notify me when it occurred with great follow through. No surprises with exchange rate, duties and it arrived within a few days after purchase. It is beautifully made and very soft. Obviously good quality and I love that I covers my bed and is long covering my feet as well as being able to be pulled up high to snuggle around my neck, unlike the throw style. Premium quality for sure. Upon opening I felt like I was receiving a gift and absolutely love how they displayed the free gift. Thank you Baloo for making this cozy eco friendly product available for us in canada

Alucinante!

So glad this necessity of life came to me
Had been thinking a bout getting a gravity/weighted blanket for a couple of years, but couldn't be sure which one to buy. Then I saw a New York Magazine web article "What's the best weighted blanket to gift" - it explains the features of 9 blankets really clearly - Baloo was their favourite and basically what swung it for me is that they said it wasn't noisy - (it isn't noisy) so I went for it.Full disclosure - I contacted Baloo to thank them for pointing me to Amazon UK for their product and they told me that they donate $5 to a childrens' charity for every posted review - I was going to review anyway - the donation has not changed my impartiality. So, after 15 sleeps I can report that I am delighted that I bought my blanket - it costs a lot of money, but probably no more than a luxury quilt - I think that it was money well spent. My sleep quality is better, I sleep longer and if I do wake up in the night, I'm finding it very easy to get back to sleep, when usually, once awake, I stay awake. And physically I feel more rested - not used to having so much energy when I first get out of bed.I had wrongly thought that I preferred sleeping under a light duvet - I am much more comfortable under the 20lb Baloo - the weight is spread , so it doesn't feel heavy, just comfy.Heat retention is interesting - even with the product material cover and a duvet cover - the glass beads are very good heat conductors - caught me out first time - I went to bed feeling cold and when I placed the blanket on me I felt colder, as my body heat was just being conducted away.Solution - if I'm cold, a summer duvet goes on first, then the weighted blanket. In the summer I intend to only use the weighted blanket. It makes no noise. The beads are retained in quilted pockets, so perfectly even distribution. Here is a forced negative, which is really just a fact - you can't do the duvet cover inside out trick to cover the blanket - well at least 20lb is too heavy for me to do that - you just have to take your time putting a cover on.There are ties on the blanket, which you could use keep the blanket in place if a cover had corresponding ties - but I'm not having any issues with the blanket moving inside the cover - even though the blanket is US queen sized and my duvet cover is UK king sized.Maybe one other thing - I don't set an alarm, as usually I'm awake early - twice now I've overslept - I'm glad I did and I'm looking forward to my next oversleep :)

Good quality sleep.
Really disliked this the first week or two. Even contemplated maybe getting a lighter weight. But stuck with it and no regrets. I'm loving this. I toss and turn a lot and at first I found it hard to lift all that weight. That has decreased a bit but overall I find the quality of the sleep I'm getting to be better. Just what I needed! And dont expect it to be extremely cooling, it's still a blanket, but I do find it better than my usual duvet. I usually stick my feet out from underneath but dont do that with this weighted blanket. The only thing is, as soon as I put a duvet cover on it, it was no longer cooling. Otherwise, I love this and encourage others around me to give it a try.
