Very much a beta
The tracking features work well, and the ability to use the beacon to zero in on my vehicle in a large parking lot or parking garage is really handy and works really well. One thing that is really nice, is that since it DOES have a Bluetooth beacon, it works perfectly inside indoor parking garages. However, the app leaves a lot to be desired. The interface is kinda lame, and the app is really, really irritating. Every single time you stop your car (including red lights) the app "alerts" you that you have parked. It also constantly reminds me at seemingly random times throughout the day that it has remembered when I parked. I don't care. I expect that it has remembered this, I don't need it to remind me. I also have no real understanding as to why they decided to make the app an app-launcher of it's own. The feature serves no meaningful purpose that I can tell... I am not sure how Spotify or SnapChat will help me find my car quicker... So the app needs a TON of development work still. This is VERY much an unfinished beta product that still needs a lot of work. But it is a great idea.

AwareCar not very Aware if using an Android device
I bought Aware to test out using it as a way to track where I parked my car. I was also interested in how this product MIGHT become a way to find your car if it was stolen. So far, I'm disappointed. Initially the app was designed to work only with iPhones but recently an Android beta was pushed to the Google Play store so I decided to go ahead and take the plunge to try it out. Downloading and installing the app and following the directions to get it up and running were easy. So, that worked when I tested it inside the house. Later I took the device to my car, dropped it into the glove box as recommended and then went shopping. Nothing happened. I didn't get a notification that I left the car, where I parked the car nor a notification when I got close. I'm going to try and start over with this thing and see if that gets it back to working. I don't recommend buying Aware right now unless you have an iPhone...seems like the Android phone integration needs more work. One final nit. One of the things that new customers are offered via the app is to get a Free Aware Key. I click on the link and it takes me to the awarestack.com web page. It says that if you refer a friend you can get a free aware key to add to your car keys or another item you want to track. When I click on "Refer a Friend" it doesn't work....like at all....nothing happens and it doesn't tell you why. Below that is another link that suggests helping spread the word and growing the AwareCar network. When I click the big green box "Yes, lets do it" nothing happens. Growing the AwareCar network would perhaps get me to the point of being able to track my car in a theft scenario. But it doesn't work like I said so I'm just disappointed overall. This device is cheap in terms of its price point....but doesn't yet work for Android phones. Until all this improves I'm afraid I have to give it a low rating. If the app works better and I have a better experience in the future with AwareCar, I'll update my review.

A work in progress...
Good idea but suffers from a cumbersome interface that is very confusing. It sends me to my car while I'm in my car...and tells me my car is at home? For me it seems to navigate to my car once I can see my car, rendering it kind of useless. The app needs to be streamlined and better instructions could perhaps help. It's not quite there for me yet but at only 10 bucks was an interesting experiment.

Great concept, but poorly executed.
Product does not work well. Right out the box it was hit or miss whether it would actually log my vehicles position when parking. Started at 4/5 times success rate. But that's really not good enough if you're relying on it! Then it basically stopped working after 3 months. Battery wasn't dead, just would sync only 1/5 times. And eventually only when I manually pressed the button. Now after 4 months, the battery is dead too. I just threw it into the garbage. Not to mention, the app is lame. Would not have minded though if the hardware actually worked.

Not for an Android phone
Does not work well with an Android phone. No documentation and the website offers very little support. Fortunately it's not a lot of money and not even worth returning. I tried it in my car for a couple days and when I tried testing it to find my car it actually sent me in the wrong direction. The issue may be that the Android app is beta and may not be as good as the iPhone version but since I don't have an iPhone I don't know.

not very user friendly or accurate
I purchased two of them for both of my cars. they are not user friendly, There are no directions on how to use them. I programed the disc in my I phone at work and went 22 miles away and took it with me. But the directions on my phone were to go back to work . BUT I HAD THE DISC WITH ME IN MY CAR.

Good for locating where you parked.
You have to keep bluetooth on and it drains the battery.Other than that if your car is stolen its only going to sow last parked location.I might be the only one with the device so locating is might be hard if anything happens.Other than that its a great design hope there was a gps built into the device.
