Great product!!!
This collar is the answer to our barking prayers. We have tried other products, wearable and hand held (most more expensive!) and this one is by far the best.We have two dogs (one a very strong willed JRT - which is an oxymoron sincet all Jack Russells are strong willed!) - and this collar has been the answer for the rounds of barking they would engage in at all hours. We bought two - one for each dog and have them on the lowest settings for our mix and second lowest for the Jack - basically using only noise and vibration correction - with a shock only for the Jack on the progressive mode at the 3rd bark. They are so much calmer (even when the collars are off) worth every penny - we have only had them for 2 weeks, but the difference has been amazing. Neighbors, friends and family have all noticed and commented on the change in the dogs. They have stopped engaging in endless rounds of excited barking -they still alert us when there are visitors or they see another dog but the reaction is far less extreme. We only use the collars in the early morning or in the evening and on walks - but even without the collars they are less likely to freak out when company shows up or dogs outside the fence come by.I cannot speak to the longevity of the battery as we only use them for 3 hours at a time usually but the battery is sufficient for that and the fact that they are re-chargeable is a game changer. No more fumbling with disc button batteries! The other feature that is amazing is that they are triggered off of sound and not vibration like other products - so they can wear their regular collars with their license, rabies and ID tags at the same time without setting off the collar AND the volume sensitivity is adjustable! Love it have customized each collar to the dog's needs and traits (the mix is skittish so we have to be very careful with him).Lastly - other reviews panned the volume trigger etc. with loud noises and other dogs setting the collar off - with two dogs we have experienced one barking and both getting corrected - but that has been a good thing in our house since one usually starts and the other joins in just for fun. They have to be close together for this to happen, so it doesn't happen all the time but it has halted the chorus.Yay to calm dogs! (I think our neighbors like it too!)

Did not include remote, wasn't waterproof. Lasted 3 months.
So, we have a very active Aussie Cattle mix who is prone to the occasional bout of shriek-barking that makes us all want to leave the house and never come back. In an effort to spare ourselves, and our neighbors, we investigated bark collar options and decided on this one because of the reviews. It was delivered promptly, and we set it up and let it go to work.Upon initial setup, I noticed it was already set up for the previous owner. I should have taken this as a sign and returned it then, but I forged on. The setup is simply downloading the app and connecting the Bluetooth. I see that some reviewers mention a remote, ours did not come with one. The phone app was updated two weeks ago to include a way to use it from your device, but it isn't very convenient if you need to use your phone for other things because you have to keep switching between the apps and if your dog wanders out of range then you have to restart the app to reconnect the Bluetooth.Usage. So, it offers several combinations of vibrate, beep, shock, with various volumes and intensities. Our dog was undeterred by all of these. I don't know if the collar was faulty, but even set at 99 it only provided a very mild shock to me, which might be more effective on a smaller dog, but I barely noticed it when I tested it on myself. Regarding the waterproof claim: IT IS NOT WATERPROOF. We take it off when she goes in the pool, but it rained yesterday and when she came inside the house the speaker on the collar was emitting a sound reminiscent of the sound of a dying cat. The price of the collar was almost worth the amusement our dogs had trying to locate the source of the noise. Almost. It doesn't work at all now. 0/10. I do not recommend.

Works great with the new model and great customer service!
Update 8/22My initial review below was accurate for the old collars. However, I reached out to customer service, honestly not expecting much, and they responded quickly. They replaced 2 of the three units that I had with their new model, free of charge a year or so after the initial purchase. The new model has a remote which works just great. The other good aspects of the units (recorded barks, decibels, adjustability of the conditioning response, etc) are all still there. The new collars are working great (the third old model collar is still hanging in there too). The customer service was way above what was expected. Bravo!Battery has stopped taking a charge after 8 months or so. The dogs responded well to it when it was working. But now they’ve learned they can bark without consequences very quickly after the battery stopped holding a charge. The blu tooth connection is essentially useless. It takes 5-10 minutes to connect to the collars and the dog has to be within 10 feet of the phone and still for it to work. By the time it connects, the behavior has been ongoing and uncorrected for too long for any sort of effective correction. It worked great initially but now is useless because it doesn’t stay charged basically.
