MONTANABrands MB-63126 28 Piece Titanium Coated Drill and Drive Set

I’ve got the 20-30 year old version of this and would still be using it if someone hadn’t dropped the drill and bent the hex shaft.I’ve only gotten to use it a couple times, but it works great. Made in USA too!

I stumbled onto this brand after reading about them by another reviewer who had a bunch of his Milwaukee hex shank bits break. I had almost ordered the more expensive Milwaukee set, until I read reviews, because I really like both my Milwaukee 12V impact driver and 12V drill motor. I read that Milwaukee's bits are made in China now, and with the new source the quality has dropped.So I ordered this Montana Brand set and I couldn't be happier. I almost bought the better value Montana Big Sky 45 piece set, but I liked the idea of having just one box with everything in it - instead of three - so this fits my bill. I particularly like the drill and driver set up allowing to quickly pre-drill, countersink or counter bore - and then flip the countersink insert and drive the screw. What a great tool! And the best thing is the kit is made here in the USA, in Montana of all places... BTW, they are only titanium coated bits, but great quality as well. Obviously, I'm now sold on the Montana Brand.

I try to buy high quality, U.S.-made tools when possible and have not been disappointed with Montana products. They are comparable (if not superior) to run-of-the-mill DeWalt and Milwaukee bits. I do like Montana's quick-change attachment better than other brands (all metal and smooth operation). The drill bits are sharp and everything works well.

If you want a drill set that's made in the USA, this is it. It is getting quite difficult to buy a drill set not made in China. Even major "American" brands now manufacture their drill sets overseas, and sell the US-made ones individually as replacements.The quick-change hex shanks feel sturdy and handle smoothly. No problems so far.The included case is nice, and the latch helps keep it from flying open if it's dropped.The O-rings that hold the bits are a little too snug -- it takes some fiddling to get them free.Nice product, Montana. There's also a smaller 10-pc set, and a larger 45-pc set (that's actually three boxes of stuff).

I've used this set for installing new thresholds, countersinking/boring holes, drilling holes, etc. Really great set! Made in USA, what more could you ask for?

good selection of sizes and love the ease of changing bits.Goes without saying right size for right job will have to check into masonary bit kit

couple of the drills broke with very little use not happy!!

Pros:-Nice selection of sizes and types-made in USA-low price-high quality caseCons:-The quick release 'quick draw' adapter is useless. The bits fit too tightly and cannot be inserted or removed from the adapter without pliers. Other reviews do not note this so my set may be out of spec from the average.
