Multifunctional
Extra quality, the drill has a decent cord length. Used it with wood and plasterboard, you can drill a hole easily, then screw in it with the same tool. It has enough power to handle wood and plasterboard for sure.

Absolutely brilliant
6 stars if I could. Most of my use is DIY around the home. One of these and cheapo rechargeable and a mains hammer drill just about covers it. Great range of torque settings and because it's brushed, superb controllable low speed torque. No worries about a battery dying in a few years.

The best hardware tool I have ever bought
I was always annoyed by my battery-based electric screwdrivers. Frankly saying I don't use screwdriver on a everyday basis, so it's a total waste to keep its battery in the charger all the time. So, every time I needed it, I had to waste time on waiting for it to charge, as it's never ready. In addition, these battery screwdrivers are very weak (from my experience). When I bought this Makita I couldn't stress enough how much it was powerful and convenient. Today I don't need to wait to use it (simply plug it into the outlet and it's ready). Moreover, I never saw any battery screwdriver that could be even half as strong as this pure electric screwdriver. It has different speeds that suit different types of surfaces. This Makita is incredibly convenient.

Great product, arrived quickly. My previous drill, cordless no-brand Chinese (for £24) died mid project after a couple of years infrequent use. I didn't want to get another cheap cordless and found this great brand name Makita driver / drill for a good price.Once I had fitted a new plug, the difference in quality was evident straight away. The job was finished quickly and I hope to never need to buy another drill again (or for a long time).Well recommended - would be an easy 5 star if it had the right plug.
