I bought these in red and green to decorate my freshwater fish tanks for Christmas. The green are perfect, but the red came and seemed poorly painted, with most of them having only the tops painted red and the bottom of each piece only clear glass on most of them. I contacted the seller right away and they said that the red is the only "painted" color but that they were fine to be in the water, leading me to believe that the paint can withstand water. Not so! Within 3 days, the paint is bubbling on each rock and now I have to fish them out of the tank in fear the paint will lift and hurt, or worse, kill my fish. Don't be fooled like I was, look for a better brand/seller.

These are not "colored glass," they have a gel coating that degrades in water and lifts off leaving a clear glass pebble.

I bought these red pebbles for our small fish tank. I have used them for almost 4 months now. I've noticed our fish has been lethargic lately. He is a young fish who used to be very active. When I cleand the tank and rinshed off the pebbles, the red coloring literally fell off. I feel these pebbles were toxic for my fish. They're beautiful for decorating but they cannot get wet!!Update: My fish died after using these pebbles in his tank.

I use these glass marbles to fill the bottom of mason jars when I put fresh cut flowers from my garden in them as gifts to friends. The clear marbles look good and their shape, more of an oval than a round marble, look nice in a layered way in the flower gift and weigh the jar down appropriately. Easier for me to buy them here on smile.Amazon.com than go to Michaels and I get more qty for the same cost. Will buy again.

Looked good when I received them but not great for my project. Used them to anchor plants in a vase & the color started coming off. Maybe the color will stay on if they don’t touch water but I cannot confirm that.

We used these for the bottom of a vase at a wedding reception. They have a little bit of a blue green hue to them when they first arrive. However, we put them in water with a floating candle on top. The lights were off at the reception and they looked clear. Would buy again.

I ordered these to use as a filler for a crystal bowl on my dining table. They allow me to tie in my blue accent color and also provide a great base for a flower or two with a little water added. Overall, I'm delighted with this purchase.

I have been looking for some red glass pebbles as decor for this wine glass. These worked out perfectly! I was worried that the amount of pebbles would not be enough but I was wrong! After the amount I used for the glass there was still half a bag left.
