The Real Test Is Yet to Come
I purchased this as our original bulb finally failed. This one failed after I installed it after just one movie…however…I had not known to reset the hours in the Epson projector. It was fairly easy to install and now seems to be working fine. I think the real test will be to see how long it lasts. Fingers crossed.

Good Product with quirks - Great Customer Service
I would like to begin by saying most the 4 stars given belong to the customer service.I have bought the OEM Epson ELPLP69 for my Epson 5020ub for replacement but I cannot find them online anymore. After reading some reviews I bought this one. The delivery was on time and the install was easy. The picture quality was great but I did notice intermittent beeps when I switch the projector from Eco to Normal mode.After two weeks of use got a red light for "Bulb" on the projector and the bulb stopped working. I contacted the customer service regarding this and they immediately shipped me a replacement bulb. Carl from Abitan was very proactive and reached out to his technical team to give some suggestion on beeping issue (Looking at many online technical forums it seems that the beeping is common issue with 3rd party bulbs that not many have been able to resolve).I have my fingers crossed with the second bulb but banking on the stellar customer service if something does happen.

Failed in less than a year!
Less than 1 year later and I'm getting the orange "replace lamp" light on my projector again! We don't use the projector much at all so should last much longer!

Bulb started to fail 1 year after purchase
Bulb wasn't as bright to begin with, at a year it starting to flicker, to the point now its too dark. Won't buy this bulb again.

Saved me $3000. I definitely recommend.
When my 1080 projector bulb for an Epson went out, I was very tempted to drop $3000 on a 4k projector. But I decided to try this option first with a ~$80 replacement bulb for the 1080 projector. I am very happy with my decision. This new bulb is so very bright and sharp.Clearly, a 4k projector is going to be amazing. But that will purchase can wait a few more years. For now, this new bulb is lighting up my basement with bright, sharp, clear, movies.

Initially brightness is better than average
Initial brightness is OK but not as good as the original bulb. There was an initial (2-3 days) smell of heated plastics that dissipated slowly. Good value for the money. I'll update this review once I have used it for a while. Good value for the money - I wish I could give it 4.5 stars.

Works as intended for EPSON Projector. Still too early to tell longevity, but so far it's been good

Junk...dont waste your money
failed about 45 days in. just after the warranty expired, do these rip off artists know what they are doing or what?! Self destructs just as the warranty is up. Diabolical genius, now if they could only use their evil powers for good, and make a bulb that lasts....oh the humanity..........FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL

Excellent replacement
I have a Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 5030UB ProjectorI have purchased this light and have not been deceived.Fast shipment, well package, it even come with an anti-static glove.The light was identical to the original and worked flawlessly.The image is perfect.So far, very happy with it !!!I recommend that product

Thought it was the answer....BUT..
Purchased in Feb .. worked great.. bright and great picture....solid replacement... BUT.... this morning it's gone... bulb expired....Hoping for some support here......Thought it was the answer... but apparently... its not as good as it was supposed to be.

Works great
New lamp worked perfectly. We purchased a home with a projector that we were told needed a new lamp. After replacement of lamp and air filter I was pleasantly surprised at how good and bright the picture is. After 20 or so hours it seems to be working perfectly. Update. After another hour lamp burnt out. Amazon issued refund and I ordered another one. Hopefully the new one lasts longer.

Strange beeping noise
The bulb makes a strange noise kind of like a beebing noise every 3 seconds or so.. I don't know how to stop it from making noise. Will probably return it.

Updated review: Perfect replacement, fantastic service
UPDATE:After I wrote my original review, I was contacted by the good people of Abitan who offered a replacement for my annoying lamp. It was shipped really fast and 2 days later I could try again. This unit was definitely brighter and also resolved a small discoloration artefact that I thought was caused by the projector itself.So I'm definitely recommending this as a replacement for the Epson Powerlite. Now let's hope it has a long life!
