This book is very well done. It has everything you want & need to know about a Pomeranian. Even if you didn't think of it, it's here. I was hoping in the medical section to address their urinary problems. My dog frequently was getting infections which is apparently common to Pom's. She is on a special vet-supplied Urinary SO Diet for life, however the book didn't address this one issue. It did address several other medical problems common to Pom's that I didn't know.My dog has been holding her paw up and licking it. She had been abused for a year with a severe broken leg and was a rescue. She was 1 year old and I got her the day the Pomeranian Rescue was going to Euthanize her. Their policy is to hold rescues for only 2 months, and no one wanted her. Some rescue service, right ??? Anyway, the book listed the common medical condition of dislocated kneecaps were , which I completely unaware about until now. Even the vet had blown it off to arthritis due to the broken leg, but when X-rayed it turned out to be a dislocated kneecap. This book saved my dog a lot of pain and daily baby aspirin which barely helped. Now I go in and the vet just straightens her leg at no charge.I highly recommend this book for the new owner, possible new owner and seasoned owner. You won't regret buying this book.

I found this book very helpful. I followed advice from the book which worked like a charm. We adopted a Pomeranian from a shelter. Thanks to this book we bought a crate and two mats for our Pom to sleep in. (two mats because we wash one wash one and use one). She loves it. We know what to feed and even what not to feed her. The book gave excellent insights into the Pomeranian breed. Love the pictures of the Pomeranians in the book too. Beautiful little dogs.

Very informative

Great little book arrived in good condition

I literally followed this book step by step right when I got my first pom pup. All the techniques for training him worked perfectly and he caught on so fast. All my friends are always paying me compliments about how he doesn't yip all the time, isn't overly vocal, is never too in your face, and how well mannered he is for a small hyper-active dog. I strongly suggest this book if you are a first time pom owner.

There are breed specific books that have generic content but contain photos of your breed and are marketed like they are breed specific in-depth books. Those aren't very helpful and I wanted to avoid that type of book. This book contains much information related to the Pomeranian breed and I'm glad I bought it.

Quick and easy read. Like people, Pomeranians are not all the same. It was nice to have the history and the basics of raising a pom.

I was excited to recieve this book, however it was much thinner than expected. Once i started reading i found that the book is riddled with grammatical and punctuation mistakes, no big deal, none of us are perfect. However my disappointment continued when i found that there is no chapter on breeding (despite a former review stating that there is) and the information is mostly generic and vague, some of it is just common sense. I also could not see the 'humour' a former review refers to. Over all this book is useful for a first time dog/puppy owner as an overview on dog/puppy care, with some Pomeranian breed specific information, however if it is strictly breed specific advice and information you want, I would recommend that you source another book.

Great book, enjoyed reading it. It was well written and contained credible information that helped me learn about my dogs. Humour from the author engaged me and made the read a pleasure.
