Kai knives, made in india stainless steel
I already had a more expensive kai(a benifuji molybdenum steel made in japan) knife which is pretty dangerous(excellent knife to use), and wanted to buy this because i wanted to keep that one away from careless hands(wife/kids). Once you start using one kai knife, it's pretty difficult to go back to your old smaller steel blades that you buy in supermarkets. This item is 3 stainless steel knives with a plastic/resin handle and not as heavy, while the benifuji is wood and molybdenum steel which is a bit more heavy and built like a piece of art. The reason i bought was these don't lose edge very quickly compared to the benifuji which needs sharpening the edge if someone uses it roughly - that one needs to be treated like a kid and with respect. These on the other hand are more forgiving with an occasional mistake - no heavy notches and ding, and even if there is one you don't notice. You get what you pay for though - you can't compare these with the craft of the benifuji knife, but good enough standalone. At 300 a piece its a good deal, well balanced knifes and you won't regret. Cuts smooth and effortless.

Feels like a Pro
The blades are super sharp and the cutting jobs are more enjoyable than ever, the handles fit my hand perfectly, however the edges towards the handle is also very sharp and can cause cuts if one is not handling it with care while cleaning and wiping, the blades are very thin and lightweight, that is just an observation, it does not impact the performance in any way what-so-ever. i consider this a great purchase for this year. and i would like to use it for a very long time. No cons of buying this product as of yet. only the packaging can be improved so that it can be used for storing the knives safely as well.

Very sharp initially; requires regular sharpening
The knives are pretty sharp right out of the box, but requires regular sharpening to keep the edge sharp. Need to buy a rod or whetstone along with this.

Material and product is as mentioned and is of good quality
One of the knife was delivered without its original packing box. it was wrapped in a paper cover. Seems it is not a fresh piece. it was disappointing

Awesome Knifes.
When I Initally saw the price, I thought that it was expensive for 3 Kitchen knives. However I still ordered them thinking that since the company is originally from Japan (Japan is well known for their knives and swords). When the product arrive, I saw the 3 knives I fell in love with them. They are sharp (I cut myself on the very first use), however it was my mistake. They are elegant to look at.They can cut fine, If you are a person who like to eat salad or simply wants to chop a big piece of meat into small pieces. If you like to have your onions/ tomatoes chopped as fine as you see in the cooking shows these knives can give to you.At first glance, they seems heavy to use, however as you go with the flow you will find it easier to use (We all need a little pratice).Out of the 3 blades, 2 have a curve those you can use for regular chopping of fruits and vegs and chopping of meat. The 1 long one I found best for slicing off Fish. All and all, its worth investing in.
