The real deal!
So my mom went to Hawaii and brought back a very small vile of salt. I was a chef for a long time and the first thing I cooked and added this salt to was some shrimp... OMG.... I instantly popped online and started looking for more. I tried to be cheap and buy other "Hawaiian salt" and it's absolutely not the same. Then I found this. Not many reviews or sells but I had to have me that salt again. This is the real deal. Taste like the salt from Hawaii! I can confirm this!This is a non-spiky salt, so if you put a couple grains in your mouth. You won't get that sharp bitter Spike that makes your mouth Warp and pucker. It's a much more mellow salt, it adds great flavor to just about anything you put it on. My last experiment was homemade movie style butter popcorn. (Please people make your own clarified butter, it's not hard) Waaaay better than table or kosher salt.If you're going to add the salt on top of already prepared food (a plate of food) I highly suggest a salt grinder. The crystalline form this comes in is a little bit big and crunchy to be sprinkling on a plateJust like Thanos there is a balance to cooking, I also use this in conjunction with normal spiky salt. But most of the time, Kona would just be fine on its own. You might need to use a little bit more to get things appropriately seasoned. If I'm mixing it's around 3-4 to 1, Kona salt to normal salt.
