Velpro Mesh Pet Shoulder Harness Collar, 12", Red

This harness is nice and lightweight and fits my little one perfectly. It's hard to fit him into a harness because his neck is small and his body is larger. It's easy to put on and made well. I bought the blue one. It's a vivid royal blue. My little boy looks extra handsome in it.

Got these for our 2 house cats to use in case of emergency. They get stressed and squirmy when trying to put them in neck collars or generic harnesses. These are very quick and easy to put on our ‘non-cooperative’ girls :) The material is very soft and cushiony and they tolerate them surprisingly well.The seller was a dream to work with. We weren’t sure of their sizes so we ordered 2 sizes for each to try and easily returned the 2 that didn’t fit.My only ‘complaint’ is that the seller doesn’t offer leashes in different widths/lengths to match their pretty harness colors. I searched all of Amazon and got the closest I could find but they still don’t match well :(

It's a very nice harness, and I think it will end the choking issue. But, gracious, it's LITTLE! I've returned the small and ordered a large for my 6 pound pomeranian. Fingers crossed!

I got the 16" Medium. I also ordered an 18" larger size because feedback made me question the right size. The 18" would have stretched out to be too big. It was a little big out of the bag. The 16" was snug but reviews said it would stretch and it does. Perfect fit for my weenie dog. Absolutely no chocking w this harness. He could back out if he wanted to but he doesn't even try. He measures 17" in the chest. I can't remember if I measured right behind the legs like this says to or at his broadest chest point used for clothes. I wanted a color that wasn't available, but the blue is actually really beautiful on him. He's all brown and looked very patriotic July 4th w his red leash and blue harness. If you're unsure on size, buy 2 and send one back. It's easier that way.

PROS:1. Does press on my pups neck/throat.2. Lunge proven - my pup lunges and races towards all things on wheels. Was taking a walk in a field recently, and a tractor started up. My pup lunged towards it and I was able to reign him in before he became squished like a pancake.3. Prior to purchasing read other reviews about the velcro not being secure enoug. The "D" ring goes through the slit so hypothetically even if the velcro was to become undone, the harness is still held together by the "D" ring that goes through the slit attached to the leash. But the velcor is very "sticky" and it hasn't become even slightly loose for me.CONS:I wish it was offered in more colors, like yellow. Yellow would help me see my pup during his midnight potty walks.Quick update: My pup's taken me for a few walks and he hasn't been able to Houdini escape from the harness and... no coughing or pressure on his throat. This harness just works!

I picked up a pair of Pekingese puppies last week.I love the ChokeFree harnesses, but the leather ones are a bit expensive. Since I know the puppies will grow a lot over the next couple months, I decided to save some money and ordered a couple of the velpro mesh harnesses.I have to say I was underwhelmed by the Mesh version of the ChokeFree harness.The look and light weight are fine.The fit was a different story. They are very snug! I recommend going up at least 1 size.The slot through which you put the D-ring is very small and does not have much give. Trying to get the d-ring through the slot with a tag of any sort is simply frustrating!Once it is on, it fits the puppy well.If the ChokeFree design team would true-up the sizing and improve the d-ring slot, I would be willing to try them again. I really want to like the mesh version as much as I do the leather version. I cannot do that with the current iteration.

I purchased this one because it doesn't fit tight around my pups neck. She doesn't mind wearing it. After my mom saw it, she ordered one too. We especially like the fact there are NO clips that must be squeezed to open when taking vest off. (Those clips are difficult to manage for weak or arthritic hands) this harness uses a velcro closure which is easy to put on and take off. I really like thos design.
