I’ve had a few different crack weeders. This one is probably the best I’ve used. It’s been sturdy and does what I need it to do. I bought another one that has a sharper blade on the inside edge and that is handy for some things. But for most of the weeds I’m trying to go after, this tool is better at getting them by the roots. I’m a landscaper and I have two of these Barry & bird tools along with two other brands of similar tools. This is significantly better and that’s why I have two (so I don’t have to use the others).

I love this tool. I got rid of weeds and grass i have been fighting for years.

This style of hand weeder is very effective in removing weeds from lawns and garden beds.My suggestion for improving this tool would be for a shorter wooden handle that fits in your palm.My old tool has the shorter handle and has better ergometrics.This tool appears to be well built and should last long (I purchased it a s a gift for a new garden enthusiast in the family).

This tool works very well in small spaces. Nice handle with a comfortable grip.

This is a good little tool for cleaning out stuff from between your garden pavers. Weed whackers don't do it right, pressure washers can mess up the supporting sand under the blocks. Some things are just best done by hand. The *corner* edge is ground to a cutting edge for those tough and miserable weeds. The scraping edge goes down into the crack and scrapes out the dirt and roots. Apply sand over cleaned cracks and brush off the excess. Does the job. It's not a flimsy, cheap tool. Nicely made.

This is larger than I expected, very well built and works like a dream! Highly recommended.

Make the handle longer -the back hurts from overreaching-I would gladly pay more in price for a longer handle so it would be more like a fulcrum .

Very pleased with this tool! It's easy to use and has been extremely helpful with removing Lesser Celendine from my yard. The wood and metal parts are sturdy and it has so many uses. I highly recommend this product!

I just purchased this item s week back, and it has been put to good use. It is well designed for its purpose, has sharp edges for digging into soil, has a handy measure marked along the edge, so you know exactly how deep you are digging. Wonderfully designed for bulb planting, an’t wait for spring to help with transplanting baby plants.

The accident prone side of me is glad that the tool came as it did. I used it once so far and twice I probably could have drawn blood from not being careful. But it is actually quite dull. The hook part digs in the cracks of my sidewalks well enough, but the blade wasn’t able to do much to the clump of weeds sitting on top of the crack, same with cutting the thicker stems in the crack. I hacked away at some of the ticker stems and was able to eventually pull the bits out. Wish it worked a bit better.
