I got this as a gift for my boyfriend who works with his hands and is forever needing to trim the edge off a torn fingernail. The packaging and tools feel sturdy and of good quality. I was very impressed with this item!

Re-post: (flagged for sensitivity?)I purchased The Shears (Amazon description: Stainless Steel Men's Nail Kit, Fingernail Clippers, Travel Manicure Set, 5-Piece Luxury Men's Grooming Kit). I am pleased with the quality of the leather storage and travel case, and the nail clippers appear to be heavy duty and large enough for my man's hard working hands. I am a bit unsure about the finish, or lack thereof, as it is not a smooth polished finish like other clippers, but maybe that is for added grip. The aspect I am disappointed in, however, is the sharp edges on all of the tools. They are not rounded, beveled, or smoothed in any way, as if they were cut from the machine and placed directly in the package. Also, for the claim that the tools are made for man-sized hands, the grooming scissors have a very small, uncomfortable handle, even for my petite hands. The scissors also do not have a curved blade, as most other nail scissors do, and instead have a straight blade with rounded points, but again everything has a sharp unfinished edge to it. For the price of this set, compared to similar sets with more tools, I think the product feels durable but unfinished. In my opinion, more time should have been spent on the finished quality of the tools, and less on the leather case.
