Don't buy without decent subwoofers
I'm not gonna talk about every track because they're all great, but by the time you get to Dip and Get Low (Track 13), and you're subs aren't destroyed, you'll think you died and gone to booty bass heaven. I've been playing this track 2 to 3 times a day at full volume in my home studio, and I'm still in love. I play it for square friends and even THEY have to admit, some part of them is being violated in a good way....

Great beats!
This CD only has 16 songs but it is still my favorite fabriclive I have purchased. This has some of the best breakbeat I have ever heard and I can listen to this over and over again. The better your sound system, the more you will enjoy this.Highly recommended.

Oh, come on, people!
OK, here's the thing. I haven't heard every other Stanton Warriors mix, and this CD is in many ways a vastly different representation of their sound than the live DJ set that I heard in October in Brooklyn. The textures are different and the drums are less urgent, perhaps, but that said, overall I really like the variety and ambition of this mix.One of the highlights for me when I saw them was the infusion of several "Dirty South" hip hop acapellas over the beats and instrumentals they were playing. It was fantastic to hear a "serious" DJ duo have fun and cut loose like that. In a way, I think that IS somewhat groundbreaking, instead of just playing the same overindulgent progressive breaks all night, they had a sense of humor and the crowd all seemed to love it. I'm glad that isn't just a trick they throw out live...I'm happy to hear the American hip hop on the CD. I mean, breakbeat mixes have had ragga MC's for years, and frankly, that's getting a bit tired and cliche now. Way to mix it up while keeping it real, Stanton Warriors. It's like when everyone jumped on Sasha for including the Felix da Housecat track on "Involver"...DJ's are supposed to balance challenging the listener with making their booties shake. Let's give them some leeway, and see where they take us.This mix has old school vibes, nu skool grooves, gut-wrenching bass, soulful vocals, varied MC's and is frankly all over the map. This isn't Uberzone, Freestylers or Adam Freeland, so don't expect those DJs. This is breakbeat without prejudice, and while perhaps not their most cerebral mix, it's still one for your body to move to.Recommended.

you'll catch your body moving to the groove before too long
[...]"The Stanton Warriors turn out a decent batch of dance tracks on their contribution to the Fabric Live series. With a dash of electro ( Kerri Chandler's "Planet Sonic") and gobs of sexy hip-hop, thick but not too dense mixing, high energy beats (Peace Division's house track `Club Therapy') and enveloping textures, "Fabric Live 30" is an awfully good mix of tracks, even if it falls short of greatness. It certainly sets itself up above the level of many of its peers, tossing in more variety than you'd expect from your run of the mill, impulse buy in the techno bin house CD. Even if it doesn't immediately grab you, you'll catch your body moving to the groove before too long. It's a fairly strong set, though its groove pulses in the back of your mind and isn't as in the foreground of your consciousness as a really great dance CD would be. However, they can't all be home runs. The Stanton Warriors have shown they know how to manipulate the turntables and make music that can keep a dance floor busy."

Phenominal Deep groove
I liked this set from the first time I heard it & I've only come to like it more since. A lot of what they're doing here is more subtle, & it's helpful to keep in mind that this set is being performed live @ Club Fabric in front of thousands of ppl. A lot of deeper, more primal grooves. Very clean effects integration. Not their typical "tear-out" nu-skool breaks style but I find it very refreshing & I'm very much addicted to it. One of my favortie Fabric sets that I've heard so far. & for those of you that think it's too clubby - it's not. But they are in a club so go figure. If you like dirty, tecky breaks, you'll dig it.

what happened to the stantons? the cash man came knocking? i think they got a taste of American club culture in put that into their mix. perhaps that makes things fresh and interesting in Europe. i find this mix tired and predictable. there are some solid tracks on here, and if you are the type who is easily pleased and you just want a nice mix for a house party then fine. but if you are a breakbeat conniseur (?) then go elsewhere. hopefully the Plumps will keep things real. this was a total letdown.

Tasty
This is a pretty high energy set, rockin some edgy breakbeats throughout. There are a few bad apples among the track selection, but as a whole the mix stays right in the groove. Some of the mixing is a little abrupt, but with the tracks on this album it works well. As for the overall feel of the set, the first half is more of an electronic feel, while the latter half provides a gritty urban sound. I would definitely recommend picking up this album, it sounds fresh and is a great way to start off the beginning of a long night

Letdown... totally
I have the first Stanton Sessions and that cd is one of my favorites for sure. What happened with this one? Way too much cheesy hip hop lyrics mixed over the beats. The beats aren't that good either. Not much variety, if you heard every other break mix cd out there, you heard this. I gave it a two for a couple tracks that are ok. They don't justify the purchase of this. Well, I guess theres nothing to do but suck it up, and toss it in the "I listened to it once, but forgot about it" pile.
