Great book on Maracatu percussion and drums. Easy to understand, with all the variations. There is also a wonderful insight into the whole Maracatu story at the beginning of the book.

Scott Kettner hat hier viele interessante Geschichten über Maracatu in Brasilien zusammen getragenund natürlich wahsinnig umfangreiches Notenmaterial aufgeschrieben.Für Percussionisten genauso empfehlenswert, wie für Schlagzeuger,die diesen Stil auf das Drumset übertragen wollen.Die mitgelieferte Audio-CD hilft, sich eine klangliche Vorstellung zu veschaffen.Meiner Meinung nach für alle, die tiefer in die Welt des Maracatu einsteigen wollen,ohne gleich selbst nach Brasilien zu reisen, eine absolute Pflichtlektüre!
