Mortimer (Munsch for Kids) Hardcover – Picture Book, May 1, 1985

I am so mad about this book! I have owned this book in the past and my children loved it. I ordered it to read to my grandson and maybe to his PreK class. When the book came today it is about 3 inches by 3 inches. I was expecting it to be normal size. I am so disappointed.

The story itself We love it.... but this is tiny tiny.... I was expecting a small book, but this is smaller than a kids meal book... I gave it three stars because on the content.Update: I gave this five stars the first time I reviewed it because I was so disappointed with the size, but my three year old is fascinated by these tiny books... It's funny, he wants to read them every day, and the great thing is, he can take it everywhere because they fit anywhere...I don't give it the five stars because, me, the parent, would have wanted these to be a little bit bigger...What it occurs to me that these can be used as party favors, and children love them

Sent it to a friend for her son named Mortimer and she loved it.***I bought the hardback because I looked at the paperback and noticed that the only other picture of the item gives the exact size which is 3 inches. People leaving poor reviews because they failed to do give the minimum amount of effort should be ashamed of themselves. This is a great kids book, definitely better than the usual one sentence per page.

I remember reading this as a kid, fantastic book and you and the kiddos can sing along. Although moms might complain it's too much excitement before bed. And my 7 year old adds it's funny too.

THIS WAS SO DECEPTIVE! Described as a paperback book, NOWHERE in the description is it listed as mini.... it’s 3x3”. This is what I am growing to HATE about Amazon.... the fact that I have to be super vigilant that I am not buying a crappy version of the item I really want.

My fault for not checking everything out carefully. Do no buy this if you want to show it to a group of children. It is extremely small and no one a foot away from you could enjoy the pictures. As I said, it is my fault for expecting a normal size kid's book and not getting one as there is a small picture of a hand holding it. I don't recommend it and definitely would not buy again at the price.

Typical Munsch—goofy, fun, and winsome. Good repetition to appeal to a toddler, plus enough silly drama to keep an older preschooler interested. There's no melody provided for the "clang, clang, rattle-bing-bang" refrain, so I made up a tune and we sing that part. This is a favorite bedtime story at our house; read it at least three or four nights a week.

The story is fun. The book is too small. I knew it was going to be smallish- but not THAT small. My son who loves mini things, (and this story), was not interested.

I felt I should write a review as I came on to see what fine print I missed about the size of this book. As you can see from the picture the book I received is tiny (our cat’s name is Dorabelle)Now I feel my problem was insignificant as unlike everybody else, at least mine is in English, teeny tiny English but not Spanish.

Great book. Made the mistake of not checking the dimensions though, and it literally fits in the palm of my hand.

The book is in Spanish. I have had to re-order for kindle in English. There was nothing to say what language it was in when I bought it. The kindle version is in Englsih though. It was a big disappointment as I was going to use the book in school with music. I do not take my kindle into work and prefer the children getting to have hands on the book otherwise too small. I had to get the kindle version onto a different device (tablet) as it was not suited for my old kindle.

This book is in Spanish! I didn't think that was very clear when I ordered it

I read this book to my daughter every night she loves singing along clang clang rattle bang bang going to make my noise all day. And I must admit I don't mind singing it either. As a kid who grew up with Robert Munsch and now an adult with three daughters of my own it's nice to relive these classic books and my children love them as I did
