I bought this to replace the crank one that came with the ridiculously over priced mobile I got for a shower gift. In theory this seemed like a great product. A few things to consider before you purchase. First, it will only play MP3 files. No matter what the instructions say that is the only file format that I could get to work. Second, there is no timer, so you have to remember to shut it off. Third, every time I turn it on it plays this strange tune from a commercial I can't place. There is a volume control, but when I turn it on it is at the loudest possible setting.There were several things I did like. I appreciate that I could erase the preloaded music and add my own. Once I decoded the instructions, it was really easy to add music. The quality of the speaker was better than I thought it would be.This isn't a horrible product, but it could be better for the price.

China strikes again. This plays the theme from the Old Spice commercial when you start it up. Why? It also plays another annoying sound when the songs cycle, which is completely unnecessary. The songs are also are annoyingly cut short but you already know that from other reviews.In any case, the killer is that when we changed the batteries for the second time, it seems to have lost all the songs, as annoying as they were. I'm not even sure if it "works" since the hook won't spin either. We now only have the two startup sounds. We'll try putting songs on it via USB (crossing fingers there are no viruses on the memory card) but this requires time to find and download songs. I would rather have paid more for a better product but it oddly doesn't seem to exist.

This is perfect for what I wanted. We have lots of digital music that our baby loves to listen to (classical music and other instrumental pieces), and we wanted a way to play it while she was falling asleep. This adorable little music box is perfect! It was easy to load (just plug it into your computer like a USB drive and copy over songs!), easy to install in place of the original mobile attachment, and we've been happily using it ever since.

I actually really love this item, the only problem is that the speaker did not last very long at all. I have only had it a couple of weeks and only use it for about an hour a day or less and the speaker started sound fuzzy and crackly and extremely unpleasant. Luckily Amazon has free returns on this item so I am returning the defective item and buying another one and hoping the new one works better. If it does, I will increase the stars, if not I will decrease them.

This is amazing. I absolutely love being able to put a micro SD card in this and play different music from the included music box style lullabyes. My dad sang to us kids all the time when we were young, and I bought this as a gift for my first nephew, so I can record his grandpa singing for him, and put it in the mobile.

The crib mobile holder went together easily and works really well. The only thing that keeps me from loving it is there is no volume control on the big one with 35 songs and the other winds up and only has one song. I also do not have a problem with the choice of songs but they are kind of strange, so it might be nice if you listed the songs on your offer.

Motor didn't work out of the box. Sent it back.Music seemed ok, typical music box style, but like others said, it plays the Old Spice whistle when you start it up. Why? Controls are a little awkward, have to single press to change songs but long press to control volume.Going to look for something else.

This was just what we needed. It runs without having to wind. The speaker quality is surprisingly good. We did delete the few 5-second songs that were included but it was easy. We downloaded our own songs in seconds and it was good to go. The "Old Spice" whistle makes us laugh.
