Excelent book if you are looking for examples for use of panoramic effect
It is however largely limited to Europe and in particular France in the selection of pictures that are included in the book. Nice printing and binding with adequate print resolution which is not always the case with photo books.Includes information on the equipment that was used which is also very helpful and the majority of the pictures were taken using digital cameras and not special purpose panoramic cameras.

Beautiful Photos of the World
This book will take you around the world looking through photographers eyes at the most beautiful places you can imagine. I purchased the book to see Marc Davis's photos but enjoyed almost every page.

Winners all...
This book shines a brilliant light on entries to Kolor's 2012 Panoramic Photography Competition. Each work in this book certainly looks like a winner. The lead-off photo of a cathedral interior was the top winner and was a stunning way to begin the book. The overall winners were the focus in the beginning pages. The rest of this book was organized into themes: mountain, sky, architecture, cityscape, interiors, water, landscape, imaginary.Of course these images can be enjoyed in themselves but some challenge you if you are the type to wonder how an image was made. One of the pluses in this Rocky Nook publication is that each themed section includes explanatory text with technical details that will interest the serious photographer. The text is in English, French, and German. The quality and subject matter of the images can sometimes sometimes shine a light on the frustrating negative: you really want those images to be bigger and you hate that gutter that breaks some of images.

Wonderful Images
Kolor the developer of the Autopano image-stitching software has been running the Kolor Panobook competition for several years and the quality of the images seems to get better every year. The 150 winning images from over 1600 submitted for the 2012 competition is a wonderful variety of photographs including the magnificent "Panoramic Photography of the Year" winning image of the interior of St. Mary's cathedral in Krakow Poland. The entries are divided into sections such as "Mountain","Landscape","Architecture" and my personal favorite "Cityscapes". Each section has several beautiful panoramas illustrating the theme and at the end of each section is a description (multilingual) of how each of the images was created for those interested in following the procedure. This collection will have you browsing through the book for hours and coming back frequently to admire the beautiful and colorful images that can be created in panoramic scenes and hopefully inspire the reader to try to emulate them.

A panoramic "coffee table" book
This is essentially a coffee table book of about 150 mostly panoramic images representing the winners in the 2012 Kolor panoramic contest. There are also a few "little planet" & other photos. Kolor is a European developer of Autopano, a panoramic stitching software. In keeping with its European heritage, the text is written in English, French & German. The pictures themselves range from excellent to rather average. All are good, but I guess I was just expecting to be more impressed. While it is designed as a picture book, I would have liked to have seen a chapter on panoramic technique & image processing. If you are inspired by some of these images, you have to go elsewhere to learn how to do them.
