Fun & Engaging - A Delightful Visual Supplement
This graphic novel isn't a replacement for reading the unabridged novel. However, it's an excellent resource for all ages. For younger readers, the graphic novel offers a fun, approachable introduction to the story. It's a delightful visual summary for those who aren't quite ready to tackle the novel in its entirety. For older readers, it's an engaging supplement highlighting some of the key scenes from the unabridged text. Some of the especially quotable moments make it into this graphic novel, which makes it great fun for anyone who loves Pride and Prejudice and enjoys replaying the witticisms from the book.I don't think most people who are familiar with graphic novels will be disappointed with the illustrations (or the lines, which are an acceptable stylistic choice with the comic/graphic novel format). There's no accounting for personal taste, but I found them to be lively and well executed...and complete. They certainly didn't detract from the story, which is always a concern any time you're dealing with an abridgement and/or illustrations. I'd also like to note that I quite liked how the illustrations are black in white when a character is recounting something to another character about an event "off scene." I think it's a clever, subtle cue that helps readers of all ages follow the storyline better.

Not illustrated AT ALL
I paid for this crap because it was under graphic novels and specifically said ‘illustrated’. I wish I could have my money back. It doesn’t deserve any stars.

Not as good as I expected...
I'm not a frequenter of graphic novels, but aren't ALL the pictures supposed to look complete? It looked as if the artist concentrated solely on a few particular scenes and left the rest half-finished. Mr. Darcy in one scene looked like a zombie--though I admit he is small and ergo to most rather insignificant. Otherwise, I have few complaints; some of the dialogue seems rushed and so does the story in some parts. I did not expect it to be as good as the original, of course, but I expected it to have the same thing I require in most of the good stories I read--a good pace. It does, as well, illuminate some of the more subtle things in Austen's story, but the quality of the illustrations could use a little more completeness: erase the sketch lines at the very least! Please!

This book is amazing! I bought this for my 12 year old daughter and though she is a picky reader she is addicted!

Lovely!
Obviously it cannot be expected to grasp all the profundity of the book, but it is well done and a great way to revisit this wonderful classic.

I really love this idea!
How absolutely unique!! Very quirky and loveable book. All the Jane Austens writing but displayed in "cartoon" format. I really enjoyed seeing my favourite characters displayed this way, all of the characters are very recognisable and the words did not stray from Jane's originals. Its quirky and fun and would be most enjoyed by those of us whom know the original well and this adds some humour and a bit more fun to pick up and glance through. I really loved this!

Bellissima versione
