Sturdy - Indoor Storage
Easy to assemble. Sturdy. Easy to place and remove my kayak using this storage rack. Makes cleaning my kayak very simple! I think there is also a model with castors, but not sure how well made those castors are. I would buy this again. I store this in my garage.

Not really for 2 kayaks or a wide one
I was pretty disappointed with this rack. First of all, I got it especially since the description said it would fit up a 36" wide hull. Not true. As I was putting the rack together, I could see that my 35" wide kayak would not fit. I took some measurements and did some geometry math. Based on my calculations, the max width is almost 34 in. if the kayak or SUP is slanted. While that's pretty wide, it is still less than advertised and not workable for me. It may be ok for less wide watercraft. I see that others had a similar issue.Secondly, the metal used in the nuts and bolts seems pretty soft. Easy to strip if not careful. Also, one of the bolts was not machined well and it was hard to get the hex wrench in.Finally, not sure it is the best thing for 2 kayaks or SUP. the bottom one can be placed to slant but the top one needs to lay flat. If you are looking to save space, you may or may not be successful since the top kayak or SUP would stick out. Also, be aware that it is really meant to be used indoors.

Sturdy but directions seem out of date
This seems to be a good product, however, I believe the design has changed while the instructions have not. Parts list includes 12 long bolts and nuts. I got 8 of each. Instructions call for bolting top rack arms to the vertical supports - there is actually a locking push button mechanism and no place for bolt with a nut. - My guess is that this used to require bolts but that they've gone to the push button connection instead. Not as sturdy as it would be if this were still a bolt connection. Other than that, assembly was easy. ** We ended up returning this product as our wider kayak did not fit in the lower space, despite what the measurements say, a 35" kayak will not fit on the bottom.

I Prefer the Older Model - and Watch the Price Changes
First the good. The finish on this one may me more weather resistant than the finish on the two I have that were of the older version. These racks are good overall but the thumb screws on the older version make assemble and disassembly much easier on the older version. Also, the feet on the new one are incredible cheap - one came broken and one bent. If both the new and old versions are available, I would buy whichever is less expensive. The prices fro both change on Amazon by significant amounts over time (up and down) and they change frequently so a little patience will probably be rewarded.
