Best humor for parents AND kids
Nothing beats this duo when writing and illustrating for kids. Timeless.

Excellent children's book
I bought it for my 23 year old son who lost his child books in Hurricane Maria, in Puerto Rico. His smile back then and now it doesn't have a price.

Total nostalgic throwback and a winner with my little one :)
I remebered this book from when I was a kid! Particularly the last page where they're all sleeping upside down with their feet on the pillow. My brother and I thought was hilarious! And the image has stuck with me for about 19 years now!! I read this to my almost 4 year old, except I replace the word "stupids" for sillies"...., he can figure out the truth on his own when he learns to read and knows not to use 'bad words'. He laughed out loud, we both did... And he wanted to read it over and over!! Much like Dr suess' wacky Wednesday, your little ones may notice something new that is out of place or backwards each time they go back and read it again. Love it!

Silly and Fun!
Ha ha, even just thinking of this book makes me laugh. I had this book when I was a child (I am now 32,) and it was my favorite! It still is my favorite, and somehow lost the copy I had as a child, so I ordered it from Amazon for my then unborn daughter. I read it to her and she looks at the pictures, but she's only 6 months old right now. But I'm sure she'll love it as much as I do. The Stupids are so absurdly silly. They have framed pictures in their house that are labeled something else, such as a picture of a tree labeled "Flower," the children try to go upstairs by sitting on the banister, the whole family takes a "bath" together fully clothed without any water, and so on. Fun and light-hearted, their silly antics delight any child and any child at heart.

A family Favorite
My three sons loved this book as kids - and now their kids, my granfchildren, love it, too. They laugh at the pictures, and the humor throughout. Highly recommend this classic!

Want a laugh?
I bought this book for my twin grandsons because it had been a book their dad (and his sister) had loved when they were kids. In reading this book again with these toddlers recently, I was so glad I bought it. A little like AMELIA BEDELIA in that it relies on using the unexpected or inappropriate for humor.

A super story!
Would highly recommend this book. It is well written, and will have little ones laughing and adults smiling. There is no social insult intended using the word "stupid", it's the family's surname. The things they get up to are comically silly, rather than dangerous.

Wonderfully silly and funny
By far the silliest book I was ever given as a child, and I still love it now. It's utterly daft, and laugh-out loud funny. You can't help but love this family and the world they inhabit. 'One day Stanley Q. Stupid had an idea. This was unusual.' β and so their day begins...

Second Generation
My children loved this series, and my grandsons followed suit. This is the book that I am requested to bring when I visit. I read interactively asking them to point out what the Stupids are doing wrong on each page. The three year old is proud to demonstrate how much more he knows than the Stupids and the five year old laughs at their utter silliness.
