Fun eye catcher
I was little surprised to find that these alternative scooters are pretty rare here in the UK while all the children on the continent drive around on it. I don’t think that it has to do with the price, the 115 GBP we paid for it was very decent, acceptable. The kick scooter costs just a little more than what we paid for a traditional premium branded Micro scooter, and a little less than a children’s bike. This is a very good quality scooter, its is sturdy and the mechanics seem good. It arrives in a big heavy box - the scooter itself is quite heavy. And you will have to put some parts together, which doesn’t require much DIY skill and the 2 required tools are included. All you need to do it put the back wheel in place and the steer. It took me about 10 minutes. The kick scooter also includes a handy stand.Keep in mind this is a fairly large scooter compared to the more compact popular Micro scooters and it can ’t be folded for storage/transport. So it requires some storage space. We ordered the one with the flame decoration lame, as the choice of colours was limited and the alternatives were worse. The children aren’t keen on the colouring either, so given the decoration is simply a set of stickers I may remove the flames at some stage, leaving us with a black kick scooter.Driving the kick scooter is good fun for children, they have a selection of bikes and scooter, but this one is typically pulled out of the shed first. And when driving it they will get a lot of attention from jealous other children, amazed parents and passing by cars.I can drive with it as well with my >90 kg dad-bod, which apparently is an hilarious sight according to my wife. Could I go to work on it? - possibly it may get you less tired compared to a traditional adult scooter, but i’m not sure you will have sufficient speed. The scooter lifts you up to quite some height, this gives you a good view and makes you more visible that a regular scooter. Our youngest at 7 years of age struggles with the weight and height of the scooter and to keep it stable while driving it.But we’re all very pleased with it. Highly recommended.
