I'm a former kindergarten teacher and currently homeschooling my preschooler. My 2.5 year old son was immediately drawn to interacting with the number peg boards and couldn't wait to begin counting pompoms into their spaces and match wooden letters to the tracing ones etched into the boards. These maths tools are portable, well-made and so so open-ended: I can see us using them in so many ways as my son grows. I love that we can use the pegs that come with it or any other materials we are drawn to, which will help build in all kind of fine motor, sensory and thematic elements to our play. They're portable enough to take with you in the cute little bag it all comes in and I love how the tool invites both exploration as well as sets up a mental schema for number representation, one-to-one correspondence, comparing and sequencing.

I run an education based childcare and I find this product amazing for the kiddos to learn what a number looks like as well as value. Amazing find!I have the kids use this a very specific way,First they lay tiles out in order(which one has less dots)Than I have them use their finger and trace the number three times while saying.Than, I have them add the peg and count the peg itself while saying the number.Needless to say they have really improved in really knowing and understanding numbers.Oh and did I mention is pretty durable?

Great concept and durable but lack quality control issues. Seems like we got a used returned item and Im sure its for the same issues that we have and they just resent the item. I love that its made of wood and its a great addition to our OT therapy at home. My issues is 1) Used product, writing on 2 blocks and had a funky smell. I dont mind an open item if thats what I ordered and expected. 2) The item I received is defective and probably the reason for return by the last . The peg holes are not consistent. Some are too wide and the wooden pegs fall over causing him frustration. Some holes are a tight squeeze for the pegs and roughly unfinished, exposing splinters. Most are in good condition and I love the concept but I would have preferred a new set, as purchased. These will be returned for replacement.

This is a great math learning tool for little ones. The boards are nice and smooth, with no sharp edges, which is very important.But, to be honest, it would help if the holes in the boards were a bit deeper, especially considering the size of the pegs. It is too easy to knock them out and cause frustration, especially since this is gear towards toddlers.Other than that, it is a very nice set.

Very solid- absolutely worth the money. It’s been a great help with reaching number association to my 3 year old. The set came in a nice cloth bag, and the set is simple but a beautiful piece. All of it is solid and sturdy- which is extra important for anything going to young kids. Would definitely recommend.

Concept is great, really good toddler home school material. However the peg holes are terribly shallow and the pegs are unnecessarily tall. It is therefore very difficult to balance the pegs in the pots, and if you nudge them even slightly they fall. Very frustrating for any age but certainly for toddler/preK who are not as refined. But even as an adult in drives me nuts when I am using it with my child. We replaced the pegs with marbles which works so much better.

Perfect size for my toddler to play and learn.
