This stuff works and has helped my truck throttle body cleaning.

OEMs recommend this over brake cleaner because the harsher brake cleaner chemicals can harm the plastic and rubber components that it may come in contact with. Works for me.

Product actually does a great job on throttles, however...1. The chemical is a mixture of acetone and toluene, which will eat through plastic like a shark through a tuna.2. The spray is also highly volatile, so this is a serious fire and/or explosion hazard.NEVER simply spray down the throat of an open throttle because (a) if there is any plastic-ey parts down there you will destroy their integrity, and more importantly (b) collected unevaporated chemical will probably seep into the cylinder and wreck your engine.I completely removed my throttle body from the top of the manifold, then removed everything that was made from plastic, which left only a cast aluminum (and some integrated steel springs/etc) part. The product did a stellar job of cleaning all gunk off of the throttle body and restored it like new. I allowed the part to dry for about an hour to make sure there was no liquid residue left before reinstall. Car has perfect throttle control again.

I saw a Youtube video, where the person used this to clean his throttle body. So I thought I would try this out. I took off my throttle body and cleaned it with this spray. I have to say that this spray works great. I coated the throttle body with this stuff, and then I used a soft bristle toothbrush to clean the metal throttle body. I didn't use much for 1 throttle body. This stuff does work great and cleans really well. It looked a brownish or blackish color when I started and then turned the more metallic color when it was clean. I highly recommend this product if you need to clean the throttle body on your car or truck. My vehicle did run better/smoother when I install it.

Have used this product amny times. Cleans throttle bodies really well. Dies what it says it does. Better value then the parts stores or the big box store, if you can wait a few days to get it.
