LANGE Q&A Physician Assistant Examination, Seventh Edition

Great to complete practice qs and test your knowledge after completing topic reviews for the PANCE! The questions are a good balance in difficulty level and have thorough explanations which will teach you more than doing the questions alone without understanding the rationale for answers and pathophys.

I've used this review book in combination with a few others over the years, each time I do better. This edition is similar to the past: the questions are hard and really expose opportunities to improve... Much better than walking out of the exam with the same feeling. Thanks to the authors and editors!

LOVE this book! It seems to focus on the very relevant and popular questions that are asked and is very organized. It is long enough to give a good comprehensive review, but short enough to work through in a reasonable amount of time and not be overwhelmed.

In preparing to take the PANCE, you are told to actually do questions and not just read. I decided on this question book because of how pleased I was with other Lange products, including their PANCE flash cards. Unfortunately this book isn't so great. It's broken into sections based on organ system, which is helpful to focus, but the sections don't match up with the PANCE blue print. In addition, a lot of the questions cover material that also isn't in the PANCE blueprint. It could be helpful to know these conditions in actual practice, but when you're trying to study for the test they get a bit annoying. While I could over look these problems, the one that really drove me crazy and made me drop my rating even more was the mistakes. There were quite a few questions in each section that had the wrong answer letter written as the correct answer. I'd go back and recheck the question and read the explanation and realize I was right all along! Unfortunately, this didn't help when the answer explanation was written too poorly to work this out. I feel like I wasted a lot of time having to consult a bunch of different resources to double check myself. Overall, this book was just ok. I'm not sure I'd spend the money on it again.

Great PANRE review. Online acces is a super plus! I need to answer as many vignettes to prepare for my upcoming PANRE. This was all worth it.

There were definitely questions in this book that had the wrong answers. However, I thought that for the most part, the book was a great review, and very similar to the difficulty of the board questions. I was still able to learn from the wrong explanations, because they forced me to look up the correct answers. I would like them to improve this kind of sloppy editing for the price, and the online exam was identical to the book (so a waste of time if you wanted to use the book you had already paid for), but I would buy this book again.

Very helpful through didactic year! Feeling like it’s good pance prep

This book is terrible. Many of the questions cover areas that are not on the boards. Also many of the questions have answers that do not make sense. This book really ended up serving as a distraction in preventing me from using my time and more effective forms of studying.Despite seeing the bad reviews I ordered this book on the advice of a colleague. I now think less of my colleague.
