LEGO Marvel Avengers (PC DVD)

Excellent product & excellent price

Great game! You get to play through the Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron movies as well as snippets of the Captain America 2, Thor 2, and Iron Man 3 movies. There are tons of amazing characters and fun content. I would recommend this game to anyone.

Full of side missions, and the open world makes it long-lasting. The game offers missions that are snippets from the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, not just The Avengers.

This was a UK game and not compatable with our PC/Mac...couldn’t even trade in.

I'm calling it 4.5 stars, rounding up because of the fun factor.I picked this game up on a Steam special. For the most part it's a pretty good game. If you've played LEGO games before, you pretty much know what to expect here. If not, well, the gameplay here is more based around problem solving than action, though there is plenty of action. While you can "die," it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things as you get unlimited lives. Instead the aim of the game is to play through the stories, find all the hidden stuff, and collect enough gold bricks and such to get 100% in the game. It's really very approachable for younger and older players alike.The plot is pretty much a rehash of the two Avengers movies, the first two Captain America movies, some Peggy Carter/Agents of SHIELD, etc. Visuals are really quite nice and the game will take advantage of higher end hardware. The vocals are, however, a little on the lazy side I think...instead of original dialogue you get mostly sound clips from the movies that are rearranged. There is some original voice acting, but not a lot.If this game suffers, I think it's that when you finish the main storyline the world is just too, well, big. It tries to be an open world, but this, like the first LEGO Marvel game as well as the LEGO Batman 3 game, overdoes it. After a while, looking for gold bricks/character tokens/whatever just feels like grinding.But I don't think that takes away from the core fun of the game. I had a LOT of fun playing the main missions, and really had fun going back through in free play mode. So overall, I think it's a really great game, provided you're into the whole LEGO games thing. For the player determined to get 100%, there's a lot of room to play...almost too much.

I've played the demo, which was fun, so I bought this for my son. The problem is that it needs a Steam account (fair enough to check it's a valid copy) but before you can play it, it insists on downloading a massive update (not fair enough in any way!) Luckily I was having a sneaky look before my son plays it, but seven year old boys generally aren't that pleased with nine hour waits to play a game.I can't say much about the game because it still has eight hours of download left. I've given it three stars because the demo was pretty good.

My son is enjoying this game more and more and every time he plays it he will always laugh because of how funny it is

Bought for my 8 year old son who already has batman 1 to 3 and therefore is familiar with the format. he loves it. What more can I say.
