Great Book
I bought this book for an Arabic student of mine who was moving back to Saudi Arabia. I had no idea of how legit this book was, since I do not speak Arabic. The child, and the family, were brought to tears of joy. Even though I couldn't read it, its easy to follow to pictures, and is a really cute book.

Simple Book Great Conversation Starter
This is a really cute book about a Chameleon. The Chameleon is kind of lonely so he tired to fit in. He tries hard to fit in my mimicking everything from a banana to a rock and nothing seems to work. He is still lonely. As I read this book, it really opens up great conversations. The children like to point out the similarities and difference between the Chameleon. We also talk about feelings. Like how the Chameleon feels and how sometime imitating others is not all that appropriate. We generally read this book page by page talking about so many things including appropriate and not appropriate. For example a boot is a silly friend but a gold fish might be something to consider since they are both animals.Overall cute book. Very simple with one image per page. The kids love the silliness and I love the conversations and lessons.

colors for he very youngest of readers
The Blue Chameleon is a picture book about shapes and colors for very very young readers. The Blue Chameleon is (as you probably guessed) lonely. He crawls along hoping to meet a friend, each time he meets a critter or object he'd like to have for a friend, he so wants to fit in, that he turns the same color as them. He becomes yellow like the banana, gold - like the fish, pink like a cockatoo, green like the grasshopper etc. Frustrated that he can't find a friend, he turn gray like the rock he is sitting on, exclaiming "I give up". Until one day he meet the perfect friend who is just as colorful as him.The text is minimal in this book. There is basically just one word on each page. One page consists of a color (the color the chameleon has become), and on the opposite is the name of same color object. The illustrations are cute, and I could see how this would be a useful book for teaching very young children their colors. Might have even been a terrific board book since it really is suited best for very very young children.
