Just Bad
This book was a waste of money. I had already read "How to print T-shirts for fun and profit" and was looking for another good screen printing book when I stumbled across this one. It looked good so I bought it but it is just a very quick and basic overview of the process, it doesn't get deep at all. There are 7 chapters spanning just 37 pages of a 114 page book! The final chapter (7) is on sales and is just 2 pages long, I think that's funny considering the book is entitled "Start Your Own Screen-Printing Business". Save your self and buy "How to print T-shirts for fun and profit" instead, it's not known as the screen printing bible for nothing. There is a list of suppliers in this book but there is a better list in "How to print T-shirts for fun and profit"

Great Book!
I love this book! "Start Your Own Screen Printing Business" From Homecashbusiness and charese mongiello it is so basic and easy to read. It is a fast start book and got me printing within a week plus I was able to call charese's company homecashbusiness and they helped me with any silkscreening questions I had for free. this book was worth more than the $9.00 I paid for it. Thanks so much for all your help charese and Homecashbusiness I look forward to reading that other book "How to Print Shirts for fun and Profit"!

Don't waste your money on this book. It is garbage.
Unfortunately, this book is absolute garbage. By surfing the web and hitting any of the many screen printing message boards, you can get the same information for free. Among my complaints:1) More than half the book is an outdated compendium of screen-printing product cuplly companies.2) The information in the book in regards to the actual process of screen printing is cursory at best.3) There is no real discussion on equipment (what do buy, where to buy, etc.) or how to actually use it.4) The section in regards to inks should be ripped up and burned. It is outdated.5) The sales section is a joke. The only people who are making money off of this book are the authors. Good for them. This book is garbage. I am glad that I purchased it used rather than new. Garbage.

Very disappointing
I was expecting something in terms of the business aspects that specifically related to a screen-printing business. What I got instead was a basic overview of how the screen-printing process works (which is available from numerous sources, for free, as well as from whomever you purchase a screen-printing kit from) and a printed list of suppliers of materials, along with some pre-packaged screen-printing kits . (This was the entire back half of the book. And seriously!? Why not give me some actual CONTENT about a working screen printing business and mention a website for the list of materials?)Waste of money....

Great beginner reference
This is a great reference for beginners. It shows you step by step how to screen print in an easy to understand format. All the basics are covered so you can jump right in to screen printing. There is a convenient glossary at the beginning so you can quickly look up new words. And, an extensive list of suppliers across the USA categorized by state so you can get the all the materials needed to screen print.Someone all ready familiar with screen printing may want this just for the list of suppliers.

half adverts
the book is OK, a little dated, but my main peeve is that half of the book is given over to advertising and a large directory of American suppliers (be warned if you're buying this from the UK).

A bit thin...
I'm gradually getting into screen printing T Shirts, and have bought a few books relating to this subject. Since I'm still getting into the process, I bought this to complement the few I already have. I have mixed feelings about this book, since it is 111 pages long, of which only the first 41 pages discuss the process. The rest of the book is a huge list of U.S. suppliers for everything one would require, so as a UK citizen, these are pretty useless. Also it keeps relating back to 'The Video' and pages 41 to 53 are merely promotions for various 'Start Up' packages, and therefore is by no means a stand alone book, but more a promotional tool for the company run by the authors. Having said that, the very bullet point simple way it does discuss the process is not without merit. If parting with a few quid and making your own mind up is ok with you, then give it a go. I found the chapter on seperating colours in Photoshop invaluable, and this hasn't really been covered in other books I have so it was worth it for that. I'll give it 2 stars as it is pretty thin overall, useful as a complement to other resources, but not really strong enough in its own right.
