So I got these when I cut my thumb pretty bad using new knife set I got. I’ll do a review on the knives as well. Needless to say, they are SHARP! Hence the need for these gloves. I’m pretty good at using very sharp knife at work (not a cook) so I should have been more careful. Well the cut was so bad I felt I needed some cut resistant gloves. I used them the other night cutting up a acorn squash. Very glad I had them. I haven’t used them for cutting smaller things so I don’t know how good they are for dexterity. I feel much safer now.

Yes you will not cut your hands, but you still need to be careful; as one or two bumps against the blade in the gloves will be done. So I guess it depends on what you think you're buying, yes it was save you from slicing off a part of your hands; but only once or twice.

These gloves are great. I used them a weeks after i purchased my mandoline,. Heeding the warning signs posted on the instructions and box that the blades were very sharp. So, the first time using the mandoline my hand moved off the vegetable I was slicing and the only thing that stopped a trip to the ER was these gloves...Needless to say, I gave the Cut Resistant Gloves a 5 star rating.....

I love the dexterity I have with these. Bought after an unfortunate incident with a mandolin. I tested them with a knife and that was enough for me. I’ve used them since, hoping I never have to test them for real.

They protect you hands well. They aren't bulky like other gloves so you can do fine manipulations with your fingers. I have washed them once already and they held up well. Love these!

I like being able to slice and julienne with the mandolin. I always go slowly and carefully to avoid slicing my fingers. These let me go zipping though the task fearlessly. Also great with the grater.

Lost a round with my mandaline slicer... ouch! I thought it would never happen to me - I know what I'm doing! ;) Abandoned my pride & got these. They actually are very comfortable and now my fingers are safe (from my ego & the mandaline.)

A must have for those who do lots of butchering or wives and girlfriends that make you cringe when the cut a tomato. Nice and flexible.
