Cool product and great price! Agree that the disks are loose and can fall out, but this can be fixed by applying and then removing tape such that the tape residue holds the disks in place on the hexagonal studs.

I purchased these to organize my rigs. The good is they do work and the case they come in closes securely. The only down size is how small they are. Some of my floats and hooks get caught up and unless arranged just so you won't be able to close the box.

I like being able to carry pre-tied dropper rigs to minimize the number of knot I have to tie with cold hands on the river. However, the spools don’t fit snugly enough in the box so they fall out when opened. Also, the box isn’t watertight, but I’m not subtracting stars for that because the price is so low. I do think that manufacturing the spools to snugly fit in the box isn’t asking too much, though.

I tie leaders of different line weights and different types of fishing and carry these in a shoulder bag (along with numerous other items I might need). I've been using the much larger foam spools, which take up too much space. I was concerned that these might be too small, but they work out just fine and take up much less space. I use a razor knife to cut a diagonal slice in the raised edge, insert the thinner end of the leader, wind, then cut another slice to hold the butt end, then put a small piece of cellophane tape over the front and write on that the leader description.

This is just small enough to get in bigger fishing waistcoat pockets. It’s ideal for nymphing leaders, tapered leaders or just a cast with 3 small flies. I wouldn’t recommend it for mackerel feather rigs. It’s good value for money
