Good! I like that it has the stories by skill.

Love this book for lower level middle school learners. Yes! However, I would use it more for an intervention class, rather than for Core Instruction for Middle School.

This teacher's book is very short. The description makes it seem to be a wonderful resource, which it's not. It has an average of 3 questions per passage, not worth the money.

This book has wonderful passages (with questions). My students and I found them interesting in content! The questions were simple and it was easy to create extra assignments from them.

I use this book with my middle school students with special needs. The writing ideas are wonderful but the there is not much substance in the reading passages.

So far, my students love the passages in this packet! Thank you!

I found these to be good review for my students (8th graders), but for most of them, they are fairly easy. The lower readers, on the other hand, got great benefits.

I work with a lot of struggling students. While I couldn't base a whole class around this text, the passages are great additional activities to use.

The comprehension passages are quite good but many are very American, meaning they need editing before I can use them with my child

A great resource to develop comprehension skilks

Very good book

I actually returned this book to Amazon. I thought it was going to be useful for my special needs students because the passages were high interest/low readability but unfortunately I didn't think about who it was published by. This is not a criticism of the company but it contains American spellings and turns of phrase throughout the book and I felt I would be spending more time explaining why words weren't spelled as we would spell them and what phrases meant before we could even get down to any comprehension skills.The passages were interesting, fun and varied, it was just not for my students.
