Yummy in the Tummy!!! Love them all!
As with anything it depends on one's "taste buds". I asked a question long ago, regarding the "chunk" in chunky ness (Tomato and esp Mango), and I ordered. Took a chance. I was thrilled with the product (that said NYC where Chutneys reign but this was online now).As said, I was used to Chutneys and as I am no longer in NYC, so now I take a chance and order online.I am really satisfied with them all - most surprising was the Tomato Chutney as I had never had such and didn't expect much. It was delicious and superb!I used them with wraps, on rice, as toppers for fish, chicken and beef dishes. As well, anywhere you can replace standard condiments (you know, ketchup, mustard lol)Ordering again.

Zestee Is Right
These are zestee all right. A little surprising to me as I usually consider these to be the cooling item on my plate. But they are tasty. Lots of flavor. Good stuff, even if a little hotter than I had imagined. Quality product.

Can't get enough!
I love these chutneys so much! The tomato is my absolute favorite, and it and the mango are excellent in a cheese and chutney sandwich, so excellent that I've had to place my second order of a 3pk in as many weeks because I've been on a bit of a cheese and chutney sandwich streak. They're spicy, the tomato and mango, but it's a medium heat, so I didn't have any problem with that (I would have liked them spicier honestly, but that's just me). The mint is good too, goes well as an accent to chicken tikka, and since the seller is FANTASTIC (I ordered my last combo pack on a Saturday and got it two days later), you really can't go wrong with getting this imo.

One Jar Arrived Exposed
UPDATED: Total purchase amount has been refunded 3 weeks after product arrived damaged. I bumped rating up to 3 stars considering I was refunded on a product the seller and Amazon both said can't be returned or refunded.OLD REVIEW: Upon opening I discovered blackened crust and the contents' color looking off, with a slight smell. Had to throw that one out. The 2 other jars, mint/cilantro and tomato chutney were okay. The tomato one was really nothing special, tasting like a pasta sauce. The mint/cilantro version had good taste but was way spicier than any I've had in restaurants. Won't be ordering this again.

Great taste
The mango tango is by far the best tasting one, the other two you really have to develop a taste for them, which I did not. My biggest objection is the cost. Almost ten dollars for a 9 oz container is excessive. I’ll be looking for something less expensive.

Gaak!
All three of these chutneys were extremely disappointing. First of all, none of them were "chunky"; their consistency was more like a gelatinous goo. The mango chutney was the most edible; at least it didn't make us gag. The other two we dumped in the bin immediately after one spoonful. They all tasted very "zingy" as opposed to "zesty"; the tomato version had a weird, bitter, almost toxic/formaldehyde flavor. Maybe we just got a bad batch, but as we could not return any of them and had to toss them all out, it was a big waste of money.

Chutney in a jar compared to fresh: this one is very close
The best chutney, like pretty much anything used in cooking, is the one that contains your favorite flavors, and tastes as fresh as what you should have been making yourself. Sometimes you can make everything from scratch, and sometimes you can't, or you slack off.I like chutneys: I make my own when ingredients are fresh, and before they go out of season, I will make some and preserve them. The Zesteez sampler showed up on one of my "recommendations", and I bought the sampler pack. About 2 weeks later, I bought it again. For those rating the product low: if you don't make your own, these examples are extremely good, especially for something in a jar compared to what you may find on grocery shelves. Yes, the tomato chutney seems a bit like salsa, and, yes, the mint/cilantro is a bit muted in flavor compared to what you can do with fresh herbs. Sauces that are made to be shelf-stable will not be the same as what you make fresh, and if you're rating the tomato chutney lower because it tastes like salsa, you need to expand your culinary horizons and read some history. OF COURSE it tastes like salsa. That being said: these are still very good. I've just received my second sampler order. I hope this company does well. I also hope they consider adding a tamarind based chutney, like tamarind-fig or tamarind-date.
