These are great knives. They are very sharp, cut well and come in bright, fun colors. The finish has lasted well, but I don't put them in the dishwasher.They work so well I have to be extra careful when I choose to use one of these over my old knives.Great quality and great price.

Yes, these knives are very sharp. They have a solid,quality feel. They are also attractive, thecolor coding allows you to quickly select a knife. They come with plastic holders, which I don't use as they are tight and it seems will scratch the non-stick coating on the knives. I'm not sure of the long term durability of the coating, but so far makes it a breeze for cleaning.

My college roommate had these knives and once we moved out, I knew I had to get these knives immediately!They're truly excellent- they stay super sharp and this set has enough knives for your every use. I also love the colors and always get compliments on them. This set doesn't come with the knife block that comes with the larger set, but I don't particularly care for the clear block and think these look much better on a magnetic knife rack anyway. Truly great knives, I'd recommend them to anyone and the price is really good.

I bought this knife set for my mom for mothers day and guess what she was blown away with the quality of these knives. The first thing you immediately feel when using these knives are how light they are compared to other knives. Chopping and cutting is soo easy on the hands with these bad boys and they have excellent edge retention. The finish on these knives are amazing and combined with a magnetic strip to hand them on looks amazing in our kitchen. I will recommend these to anyone who want high quality knives at an affordable price.

Colourful? Yes. But that's about it. The blade is thick and not handy to cut through vegetables and fruits. Most of these blade shape are not useful. They are already store in a drawer and I had to buy another thin bladed knife for daily use. Oh well!

Good edge for about a couple month's use.. then best use is for buttering toast..Would not recommend if you intend to use everyday..

My wife had me order these knives since we just had a baby and wanted a full set for our kitchen. I received the package and to my disappointment 3 of the knives had chipped blade edges. The bagel knife was in horrible shape and the tomato knife had a large chip in the blade edge. We also bought the pink knife, Santoku knife, and it was totally fine so I'm going to blame the company that shipped this set because they didn't do a good product inspection before shipping. I'm returning the set but it will have to be a refund because it wasn't originally through Amazon... I'm crossing my fingers that the next set I buy isn't in as bad of shape as this one... I know the knives are awesome but I would like a new product, not a defective one...

For hard to find knives. These color coded sets seemed to be more in style at one point in time. The idea of a color for each food type in order to keep cross contamination down was how it started I think. These knives are great for the money. They are razor sharp out the box. They hold a great edge, but do require maintenance sharpening. The first few individual pure komachi knives I bought were made by Kershaw and I think these still are. Unless Kai brand has been sold. Either way these are a great set of knives if you are ok with the color coded concept.
