Sharp Shears for Healthy Looking Hair
I learned some things when I was looking for hair cutting shears. Mostly that you can pay around $200 for the best ones, used by professionals, and, that you need very sharp scissors or shears to cut or trim hair.I've been trimming and shaping my own hair for a long time and am usually happy with the results, considering too many times, when I would go to a salon to have it cut or shaped or trimmed, they did a job I was almost always disappointed with. I decided a long time ago,if someone was going to screw up my hair,it might as well be me. At least I have a good idea on when to stop cutting it and I actually care what the final result looks like.I also have fine, wavy hair. Not the easiest to cut.I have noticed, and maybe it was from using whatever scissors were around at the time, that sometimes the ends do look a bit frazzled;and in researching shears,I found out that unless the blades are very sharp, the ends can break,or result in split ends. I don't have split ends and never noticed them, except for a long, long time ago when I was a teenager;but,I have used these once to do some light trimming and shaping;with wavy hair you are always shaping, cutting with the wave and not cutting against the wave. And,these shears have produced a nice result. And I don't see the somewhat frazzled or lightningbolt effect at the ends of my hair, that I sometimes get.I've used these just once,I only trim my hair to maintain healthy looking ends, and I did it a few weeks ago,and I like these and I'm glad I looked for something better than "any old scissors" that I have on hand.

Great shears!
When I got these I immediately could tell the difference from my older shears. I feel much more confident using these! These are sharp!

Great scissors but blades too long for our need.
Scissors looked great but a little long for my wife's use. Appear to be well made, and the case it came in was nice. However the inside of the case has two straps that fold over the top of the scissor and the strap is held down with a snap button. The end of the strap opposite the snap is held down with a rivet. The rivet in the case was broke off which rendered the strap useless. Had to knock it down a star for the case issue. We could have used it as we only have one pair of scissors and the case holds two pairs. We decided to return though as the blades were longer than we needed. For regular hair-cutting I am sure they would be great. We did get an email right after the order from the company which I always feel is a great touch and I wish more companies would do that.

Scissors passed the test!
When these scissors arrived, I was surprised because they looked like blunt kid scissors that I used to buy for my children in primary school. I thought about returning these scissors, but decided to try them out and give them a chance. I wasn't expecting much judging them from their appearance.I purchased them to trim my dogs' fur, and the first time I groomed my dogs, I ended up being amazed! The scissors were great! They were sharp and they cut the dogs' fur perfectly! With the rounded tips, it was safer for my dogs and I didn't have to cut as carefully as I used to cut using pointed-tip scissors. So trimming went faster, and it was easier to trim the usually difficult paw fur.I am happy and I would definitely recommend these scissors

Great shears
These shears are amazing. They have a nice weight which makes them feel very good in my hand. I've noticed that I don't get wrist pain when I use them. They are very sleek and professional looking. I was a little intimated by them being 6in" but the extra length is mostly on the handle. I haven't cut myself with them or anything. They remind me of my 5's.

Great for students or back up!
I am an educator for Keune Hair Cosmetics and travel around the country teaching classes in salons, shows, and schools and our Academy in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. I purchased 5 pair to carry in my gig bag for when one of our students is using a sub par set of shears or just plain forgets them. Their response is always disbelief in how reasonably priced they are. Most people think they are comparable to a $200 pair of shears.Mosher's sharpening service is second to none that I have tried also. Turning an okay shears into a very good pair, and a good pair into a great pair.I highly recommend these shears for students or a good back up.John YurkewHead Over Heels andKeune Hair Cosmetics

Amazing shears
I am a licensed professional hairstylist with 20 years experience. I found out about these shears on a professional forum and decided if they were what I expected for the price I could use them for cutting paper. Well was I pleasantly surprised, they are definitely professional shears (not scissors) I would use in the salon. I even let my coworkers try them. They were hesitant because most of my shears are very expensive. But they finally relented and after they tried them I informed them of the price. Needles to say I then ordered 7 more pair for them. They are great for a backup pair, a pair to keep at home for THOSE relatives, or if your just starting out in your career, Order a few you won't be disappointed.
