I probably shouldn't complain, seeing as how I didn't buy these for lacing poultry, but they are not very sturdy. I've been using an old 4" poultry pin as a general all-purpose poking and prodding instrument around the house and wanted more of them. I thought these would be similar, but they are a bit thinner and made of soft wire instead of hardened steel (or whatever the old one is made of). I've never bothered to lace a turkey or chicken, so I have no idea if they'd be good for their intended purpose, but I would expect so. Not sure they'd be worth washing and drying rather than throwing away like a used toothpick, though.

These are perfect. They are sharp enough to penetrate the meat. They are thin enough to stay in place. I use them for turkeys and holding together stuffed pork tenderloin. In every application, they work great. Every kitchen should have these on hand.

I use these for making bacon wrapped filet mignons. They are just the right length and thickness plus unlike wood skewers they are reuseable. Fast shipping and great packaging.

Some people use it for chicken and turkey - I on the other hand, am using it to give the royal icing on cookies a smoother look -because there are several in the package, I use another for tiny compartments to open the rubber flap that will charge my bluetooth device so I can listen to my music .

This worked great in my air fryer. A must for every kitchen. Buy a roll of string because there’s only enough for one meal

I've been periodically looking for turkey skewers in the local stores, but never found them, or they cost more than I wanted to pay. These are perfect - they are a perfect length, they are nice stainless steel, so they won't rust, and there are enough in the two sets that even if a couple are used for other "around the house" tasks, we'll still have enough in the kitchen drawer for our Thanksgiving / Christmas turkeys! I also like that they are a heavier weight metal, so they should resist bending.

Works better than the paper clips I tried to use last time. Yeah, I know.
