Great lights!
We were renovating our kitchen, which had 4 large recessed fluorescent light bays. We wanted LED lighting, and when we realized that these lights have no actual "can" to wrangle up into the ceiling space, we were sold. They were extremely easy to install: just plug the end of the adapter, with the light, into each power box. We did have to run power to each location of a light, but not having to wrangle that awkward can thing up into the space, was great. And, in several locations, we wanted lights where there beams, and we were still able to install the light. They are very thin, probably only the same thickness as the sheetrock. They are given a very long life, so we should be good for years to come. And, I should add that we installed 10 of these lights in our approx. 10x15' kitchen, placing them in vertical line with the counter edges, and they were a tad bright. We switched to a dimmer switch, though, and now we can have as much or as little light as possible. The lights rated for use with dimmer switches, and they do not have to "warm up" before they are fully lit. Great lights!

BRIGHT, really bright
I gave this 4-stars because for $120, I expect something as blatant as the "DO NOT SHIP if seal is broken" sticker to still be intact, or don't ship it. The lights appeared to be new, so I proceeded with the installation. Other than that I don't really have any complaints. I'm not sure of the CRI rating, but the 3000k version takes some getting used to especially coming from 2700k incandescent lights. Also, these lights are bright. I love bright light, but these are really bright...8640lm bright . I put them on a lutron dimmer designed for LEDs and have not experienced any hum or jittter/flashing. I recently purchased 2 - 6500lm garage lights and I still think these look brighter. If you need light to see anything or everything, these are the lights.

Tremendous Value!
Purchased these to add light in a great room with a vaulted ceiling. Installation was super easy because the lights are so thin they'll fit even with a joist overhead. Wiring is also easy, but if you need to add a line to your breaker box you should probably hire an electrician. These may also be used to replace old fixtures. I used two of these to replace fixtures in a closet, and it couldn't have been easier. Again, because they are thin enough to go under a joist all I had to do was cut a hole (the kit comes with a template) where the old fixture was located and install these. The hole was large enough to allow removal of the junction box above the old fixtures, and I used the existing wiring--I didn't even have to climb into the attic. These lights are bright, dimmable, they look classy, and the price is right.

Solid, easy to install, bright.
I installed 4 of these to light a 500 sf playroom for the kids. Its straight daylight in there now. I didn't have dimmer switches but think I may spring for them! The build quality seems good and they install very easily. They come with everything needed in the box. Once in the ceiling they hold in place firmly without wiggling around when touched and no draft comes around the edges due to a foam seal. Very happy with these at half the cost of the ones down the road at Lowes.

Great looking super bright lights!
This is only second day since I installed them, so probably too early to review. The installation was easy. The hardest part was to remove the old canned light fixtures. And also had to enlarge the holes since these lights are bigger in diameter. The lights look beautiful on ceiling. They are so bright that I had to install a dimmer to dim them down. They are bright, yet pleasant to eyes. There is one problem I see coming with them (or with any other can-less light fixture). You must go to attic to change them when they die. You cannot change them from below the ceiling. The reason is simple, you need to release the tabs to remove them. And tabs are accessible only from above-the-ceiling. Also, changing the lights can be "two-person" job : one person going to attic to release the tabs, and the other person below the lights to catch them as they fall, unless you don't mind them hitting the floor and shattering around. I think this is one huge difference between canned and can-less lights. This may not be an issue for a lot of people, but this will be issue to many. So please keep this fact in mind before buying any can-less lights.

Follow the instructions and it's a breeze to install.
These lights were incredibly easy to install, and they work fantastically with the dimmer switch we chose. The hardest part of the installation, beside dealing with removing very old fixtures that were shoddily installed, was to make the openings in the ceiling larger. The template was a great help, and the finished installation actually looks like it was done by a professional, which, of course, I'm not.

Great service!
Had previously bought the same type product from a different company. After a few months of use I had to replace 2 of the lights. After going through the same problem with 3 more lights after just one year I decided to replace them with the Torchstar lights. They seemed to be of a higher quality than the previous lights. A nice feature was the junction boxes which included the built in led drivers which made installation much easier than the first lights. However one of the junction boxes was bad but a quick phone call to customer service got a new box on the way very quickly. Excellent customer service! These lights were installed in our kitchen and we like the dimming function on them. They really brightened up our kitchen. Would recommend Torchstar for their quality product and service.

Great bright light
Bright. I installed 6 of these in a new kitchen and all 6 work great. They dim nicely and have a good cozy glow. They actually have a really decent spread pattern so 6 is even overkill for the average kitchen but I have mine on multipleSwitches so you can customize the light to the situation. The junction boxes are nice, metal and better than others ive used before. If you're wiring them in series you may needBigger wire nuts than what is supplies.Overall super happy with them so far.
