Q: The bag of pellets is 20 lbs and costs $20...how long does that last? What are the average # of lbs for common cuts of meat? Brisket, ribs...etc.

You can get a bag of pellets for $9.99 at Cash and Carry Stores, all over the country. How long the pellets last in your grill depends , on what and at what temp you are cooking /smoking it. High temp uses them faster ,and low and slow ,not as much. What are you trying to do . # 8 to 15 pounds is common size for beef, pork, ribs, briskit cuts. I hope that info helps . FISHGRILLER

Q: How accurate is the thermometer on the smoker? Any one else had issues with it being off?

I've had the same issue with the controller since I bought SmokePro DLX in 2019. Set it for 225 "HI Smoke" and it will swing from 190F to 240-ish on the controller reading. I called Camp Chef and they sent me the Gen 2 controller and a new temp probe. Installed both and still have same issues. I even got the thermal blanket to put it on the cover. I've tried different pellets,. I don't leave pellets in it since the humidity can mess with it. Another issue that happens for some reason, the controller just stops controlling. All of a sudden the temperature just starts dropping. There's still plenty of pellets. Has happened after 4-5 hours of run time and also after 10 hrs, so have no idea what that is. Love the food we have made but about ready to try someone else's pellet smoker.

Q: Do you guys that own one feel the temp. variance is as wacky as the Traeger...?

Mine tends to be about 15 degrees hotter than the setting but does not fluctuate much at all unless you open the hood
